The Back List Plugin for WordPress can be downloaded at the WordPress Plugin Directory

I wrote this WordPress Plugin to help combat spam for open comment blogs who get hit with a lot of Trackback spam. Even with akismet installed, it didn’t always recognize some of these Trackbacks as spam and, Trackback spam becomes a growing problem.

  • Added functionality: if you whitelist “wordpress.com” and receive a trackback or pingback from “matt.wordpress.com” it will match the whitelist entry of “wordpress.com”; The same applies for blacklist entries.
