For years now, I’ve been taking legit surveys for cash. It’s been a great, easy way to make some extra money from home and it doesn’t require any money to get started.
Making cash using surveys is a great, ultra easy, way to make a ew extra bucks. Whether it be making extra money for Christmas, saving up for a vacation, or just saving money on your way to financial freedom, it’s a great way to make cash.
Are you ever going get rich taking surveys? Probably not. BUT, every extra cent counts, with whatever you’re doing. Plus, you can do it anywhere.
Waiting in line, watching tv, in any waiting room, or even at the gym while you’re on the stair climber.
You can also use the extra cash to pamper yourself or take a fun girl’s weekend (frugally of course).
But here’s the thing with a lot of online survey companies – they can be pretty scammy if you don’t find the right ones. I’ve definitely experienced this in the past.
I signed up for a survey company that I thought paid cash. They said that they paid $7.25 per survey which sounds pretty good. Then I found out that it’s $7.25 in their own “survey currency” which you can only use for the things they offer in their store, which is basically magazine subscriptions which are super cheap anyway…
So yeah, after that experience I decided that I’m only going to takelegit surveys for cash – and I’m talking ACTUAL cash, not “survey money.”
After a bit of trial and error, I found that there are actually lots of companies that pay cash for doing surveys, and sometimes they also offer products in addition to cash (usually this is for you to review at home then provide your opinion on the product. This is great because you get to keep the free product and you get paid for giving your honest review.)
I recommend that you sign up for all of the survey companies listed below. I can attest to the fact that they are all legitimate companies that have plenty of surveys for cash only, none of this “special survey company caper” that is pretty annoying.
The reason I recommend signing up for all of them is that when you join, you need to give some details about yourself, such as your age, marital status, number of kids you have (or don’t have) whether you have pets, etc. The survey company will then match you to surveys that line up with your answers.
What that means is that one survey company might provide me tons of high-paying surveys whereas another one might be different for you, because presumably, your answers will be different to mine. So if you really want to make money taking surveys, you should sign up for as many (legitimate) sites as you can!
With that being said, here are some great companies that offer plenty of great surveys for cash.
Vindale Research
Vindale Research is a survey company that has been around for a very long time. They always have lots of surveys available. One of my favorite features of Vindale Research is their Daily Studies.
Daily Studies are surveys that change throughout the day. You can participate in the daily studies 10 times per day, and they will pay you every time you complete the daily study.
Right now in my dashboard, there are 3 daily studies – one paying $1.25 per study, the other two paying $0.75. If I take each of the studies the maximum 10 times, I’ll make $27.50.
Do this every day and it adds up pretty fast! Vindale research pays out via Paypal cash or check.

Survey Junkie
Survey Junkie is a platform that has over 3 million participants and is incredibly popular. It has an easy to use interface, a good selection of surveys and pays in cash via Paypal or eGiftCards.

Pinecone Research
Pinecone Research is another great legitimate survey company to make a few extra bucks. They pay you for each survey you complete and sometimes even send you free products to review!
I personally love to get free products to review because who doesn’t like something free (if it’s cool that is).

Swagbucks is one of my favorite survey companies. They have lots of surveys available but in addition, you can also make cash from things like using the Swagbucks search engine, watching videos, answering polls and more.

Opinion Outpost
I love survey sites that pay cash, but even more, I love survey sites that have quarterly $10,000 giveaways! Even though I’ve never won the 10k that Opinion Outpost gives away each quarter, I cross my fingers for every drawing, lol.
But seriously, for the lucky people who win the 10k along with the cash they make from taking surveys, I’m sure they’re counting their lucky stars that they found Opinion Outpost.

Inbox Dollars
Inbox Dollars is similar to Swagbucks in that along with online surveys that pay cash, there are a number of other ways to make money. This includes things like using the Inbox Dollars search engine, answering polls, playing games and spinning the interactive “Billy the Wheel.”

American Consumer Opinion
American Consumer Opinion is HUGE – they have over 7 million members and have paid out over 30 million dollars, so there is certainly money to be made on this, and all the survey sites I’ve listed.
A lot of people rank American Consumer Opinion as one of the top survey companies that pay cash, and although it’s not my number one favorite, I definitely like it and think it’s worth joining.

CashCrate
There are a number of different ways to earn money with CashCrate including online surveys, completing offers and tasks, watching videos, shopping and even just for checking in every day.

iSurvey World
iSurveyWorld is a traditional survey site that doesn’t have all of the other make money options like tasks, videos etc., but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great survey site to join.
iSurveyWorld also pays you $5 just for joining, and all of your earnings are paid in cash via Paypal.

Prize Rebel
Another fun survey site that pays cash and has options to earn money besides just online surveys is Prize Rebel. I like Prize Rebel because they also have raffles, lucky numbers and other contests you can enter (if you can’t tell, I’m a bit of a competition fan 😉

Go2Crowd
The Go2Crowd has paid short paid surveys, longer, more in-depth surveys (that pay more money) and even in-person focus groups that pay $150 or more.
Before I gave birth to my son, I used to do in-person focus groups. If you haven’t done one before, they’re actually very fun and interesting, and the pay is really good!
Other Ways to Make Cash Online
If you’re really looking to up your cash-making game, surveys aren’t the only way to make some extra cash. Check out some of these ideas:
- Ibotta – I use Ibotta all the time to get cash back on my groceries and toiletries. It’s easy to use – just choose your cashback offers, scan the item you purchased, snap a pic of your receipt and that’s it – your cash will be in your account within 24 hours. - Nielsen – This app pays you $50 every year when you download the app. Who can say no to a free $50?
- Taskrabbit – Task Rabbit is an app that enables you to connect with individuals that needs tasks done such as help moving, packing, running errands, light yard work, etc.
In Conclusion
Taking these legit surveys for cash is a great way to make quick and easy money. I love it because you can do it anywhere. Imagine how many you could do sitting in an airport or at the doctors office (aren’t they always running late?).
