Air Canada announced on Wednesday that it has signed a six-year agreement to be the charter airline for all seven Canadian teams in the National Hockey League.
The airline’s charter service, Jetz, will be responsible for moving theCanadiens, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks around the continent during a hectic 82-game regular-season schedule that kicks off in early October.

In addition to the seven NHL teams, Air Canada Jetz also provides charter service for the Toronto Blue Jays, Canada’s only Major League Baseball team.
“As Canada’s flag carrier, we are very proud to have been drafted by all seven Canadian teams to carry them for the next six years. Hockey is an expression of our national identity and it connects all Canadians, roles Air Canada itself aspires to fulfill,” Benjamin Smith, presidentor passenger airlines at Air Canada said in a statement.
