Elemental Resonance[]

Having two Anemo characters in a party of four results in the Elemental Resonance:

  • Impetuous Winds: Decreases Stamina Consumption by 15%. Increases Movement SPD by 10%. Shortens Skill CD by 5%.

Elemental Reactions[]

Anemo has Elemental Reactions with the elements Electro, Pyro, Hydro and Cryo. Depending on the particular talent, it can Swirl or absorb the element or do both.

  • Swirl: Deals Elemental DMG of the involved element while spreading the involved elemental status to nearby enemies.

Many Anemo characters and enemies also have the following skills:

  • Elemental Absorption: Absorbs an element and becomes infused with that element, dealing damage of that type. The absorbed element can trigger further reactions, including Swirl.
  • Displacement (Crowd Control): The ability to displace mobs of entities by knocking them back or pulling them in. Many Anemo users especially have the ability to create Vacuum Fields that pull in enemies within a radius.

Anemo Status[]

Similar to the Geo, the Anemo status cannot be applied using elemental attacks. However, the Anemo (1)Anemo (2) Anemo Hypostasis applies a long-lasting Anemo status to itself while its core is exposed, and unlike Persistent Geo on Anemo (3)Anemo (4) Geo Hypostasis and Planet Befall — it can react with other elements to trigger Swirl.

At the same time, she instantly regenerates a large amount of HP for all party members. The amount of HP restored scales off Jean's ATK.

Dandelion Field

  • Continuously regenerates HP of characters within the AoE and continuously imbues them with Anemo.
  • Deals Anemo DMG to opponents entering or exiting the Dandelion Field.

Trivia[]

  • In Genshin Impact's story, Anemo is the first element that the Traveler resonates with, and they are shown using Anemo in a cinematic cutscene in Ending Note, the final quest of the Prologue of the Archon Quests.
    • In Genshin Impact's gameplay, players are forced to resonate their Traveler characters with the Statue of The Seven in Starfell Lake during Bird's Eye View in Act I of the Prologue, during which all parts of the map outside of a small part of Mondstadt are considered out of bounds. It is impossible to first resonate with a Statue of The Seven in any other nation or to progress past Bird's Eye View without unlocking any Statues of The Seven in Mondstadt, unless exploits or glitches are used.

Etymology[]

  • The name Anemo comes from the prefix for words related to wind, "anemo-," which derives from the Ancient Greek word for wind (Ancient Greek: ἄνεμος ánemos).

FAQs

Is Anemo the weakest element? ›

Anemo is already a great element on the base level because of its extra damage and resonance that makes exploration much easier. However, it becomes much stronger if you're using an Anemo support unit with the Viridescent Venerer set.

Who is the most powerful Anemo Genshin? ›

#1: Kaedehara Kazuha

His Elemental Burst is not only a powerful Anemo slash, but leaves a huge swirling field that continues dealing Anemo DMG. There aren't too many flaws in Kazuha's design, either. He is better as a sub-DPS rather than a main DPS, unless players spend the time getting him to C6.

What to pair with Anemo? ›

When Anemo Meets Cryo, Pyro, Hydro, or Electro. One of the statistical reasons why Kazuha is such an overpowered character is that he has a huge area Anemo attack, which, when paired with any element except Geo or Dendro, produces a cavalcade of elemental attacks that also deal area damage.

What's strong against Anemo? ›

Keeping this information in mind, you can say Anemo is weak to every other element except Dendro and Geo (sorry Beth).

Is geo the worst element? ›

Though it may have some fantastic designs and potential, Geo is undoubtedly the worst element in Genshin Impact. Geo has a single elemental reaction, Crystallize, where most other elements have three or four. Crystallize combines with Cryo, Pyro, Hydro, and Electro, but even so, it's not all that useful.

What destroys Anemo? ›

The Anemo Hypostasis will only take damage when its core is exposed. Before exposing its core, the boss will use various Anemo attacks. The general strategy for this boss is to stay close and avoid its attacks, then strike the core once it's exposed.

What is the weakest element? ›

Air is one of the four classical elements along with water, fire, and earth, and is bound to the others through Quintessence. Even though it is considered as the weakest element, Air can be a very powerful element at times.

Is Anemo the strongest element? ›

6 Anemo Is The Swiftest But Not The Strongest

Anemo characters shine the brightest when they're placed in a team with either Pyro, Cryo, Electro, or Hydro.

What element is weak to Anemo? ›

Weakness - All elements besides Geo for Anemo. Pyro or Anemo for Cryo. Maguu Kenki is a fast-paced melee fighter, so players should avoid using a bow user for this fight.

How powerful is Anemo? ›

Anemo is a catalyst element that triggers powerful reactions, but in the right hands, it wears enemies down on its own and can erode even formidable bosses in no time.
