This walkthrough is designed to guide you to the "Good" ending of Detroit - though you can find information on the other endings and choices here as well.

The final chapter of the game begins with the president addressing the nation about the events happening in Detroit. During this sequence, you can choose to take any of the questions that appear with the prompts on the screen. Whichever option you choose won't have any effect other than describing some of the events from the previous chapter. You'll be able to take about four questions from the crowd before the president leaves and the scene ends.

After the previous scene, you'll see a cutscene with Connor going to the CyberLife tower. After the cutscene ends, you'll be controlling Connor and will have to follow the CyberLife guard onto the elevator. Follow him through the building until you enter the elevator. When you are waiting with the guards, you'll have the chance to make a choice of how to deal with the situation. Before anything else, look above to the left and scan the camera. Hit the prompts to hack it and disable the camera feed, doing so will prevent another action sequence that can kill Connor later in the chapter.

Next, look at the guard on the left and pre-construct your actions, which will have you disable the guard. Look over to the right guard during the preconstruction and scan his waist to kick him. Once you scan everything, hit the prompt to execute the action, you'll have to hit the prompts through the sequence to be successful.

Once they're down, look at the elevator controls and examine it to change the destination. When given a choice, pick the option to use the AGENT 54 VOICE to change the location of the elevator. A cutscene will play out and then you'll switch control over to Kara and Alice.

Reaching the Bus Terminal

Since Kara and Alice were able to get out of Jericho successfully, you'll be walking the streets of Detroit. You'll have 20 mins to reach the bus terminal before it leaves without you. Start walking ahead and you'll eventually stop to talk to Alice. When given a choice to deactivate her Hot/Cold Settings, choose to LEAVE ON and continue walking forward. This will help out later on with another choice.

As you walk, Kara will look at the ground and pick up a gun near the bodies of a few androids. Next, Kara needs to sneak by the SWAT guards by hiding behind the cars nearby. Do this by hitting the prompt to sneak around when the Risk gauge is low as the guards look away from you.

You'll have to do this a few times, to which you'll eventually get to a car where you'll find Luthor about to be executed. You'll have a choice to either leave him or help him out. Pick the option to SAVE LUTHOR and you'll be able to move around to another car closer to Luthor.

advertisem*nt

When prompted to pick up a weapon, look to the ground behind you and pick up the brick. Next move slowly up to the guard until you see a prompt to hit it over the head. This will save Luthor and you'll be able to continue onward with him.

Continue sneaking by the SWAT guards between cars, only when you see the Risk gauge showing LOW RISK on screen. When you do this you'll eventually go past a truck and will come to a crossroads near a gate to the bus terminal.

advertisem*nt

You'll have to choose whether to go through the gate with the security checkpoint, or find a way around that is safe but will take much longer. If you're low on time, you'll have to go through the gate, even though it's much more of a risk.

Walk up to the gate and speak to the guard. Hit the prompt to give the guard ID and choose the option that your CAR BROKEDOWN during the conversation. When Luthor starts freaking out, pick the option to tell him to STAY CALM and continue the conversation.

When the guard asks about Alice, pick the option to say she is COLD. Because you left her Hot/Cold Settings on, he'll notice her quivering and ask about it. When the guard lets them through, he'll stop them once more and Luthor will panic again. Pick the option to STAY CALM twice when prompted and the guard will just give Alice a glove she dropped. Afterwards, all three of them will be able to continue forward to the bus station.

The Demonstration in Detroit

Control will switch over to Marcus, who is marching in the streets of Detroit. A cutscene will play before you can control Marcus. Hold forward and start walking up to the center of the street. This will take a little bit because of how slow the march goes with everyone there. You'll be able to look at the SWAT guards ahead by hitting L1, but you'll still need to move towards the center of the street.

When you get there, you'll have a choice for the type of demonstration you can do. Pick the CALM option and your Public Opinion will go up, and you'll begin walking forward towards the SWAT. As you move, the SWAT will fire on you and kill some of the androids while your Public Opinion goes up drastically.

advertisem*nt

This will happen twice before you stop moving and will have a choice of action. Pick the option to RAISE HANDS, and you'll further increase your Public Opinion and remain peaceful. A cutscene will play out before switching control over to Connor's perspective.

The CyberLife Tower

When you see Connor again, you'll be arriving in the main hub of the tower, where an army of androids is standing by. If you hacked the camera earlier beforehand, then you won't have to go through a button sequence fighting off some of the CyberLife guards.

advertisem*nt

Instead, Connor will hack the elevator to stay on the floor and then walk out of it. Exit the elevator and walk out into the line of androids. Eventually, you'll stop and attempt to hack one of the androids there, hit the prompts to do so. You'll be interrupted by another android that looks like Connor who has taken Hank hostage. The scene will play out before switching control back to Kara and Alice.

The Border Bus Terminal

When you gain control of Kara, you'll have to enter the bus terminal and get on the bus towards the US-Canada border. However, the guards there will announce that nobody can get onto the bus without tickets. You'll have to move around the terminal without getting stopped by the guards patrolling the crowd. Keep moving around and avoid the path of the guards and make your way deeper into the crowd.

Make your way to forward and to the left, where you'll find a mother with her baby on a bench (behind a television monitor). Speak to the mother to start a dialogue with her, which will cause her husband to come to get her and drop a bus ticket. Hit the prompt to pick it up.

Eventually, the mother and husband will come back looking for the ticket and ask you if you had seen it. You'll have a choice to return the ticket or keep it. Hit the option to KEEP THE TICKET twice when asked. The two of them will search for it desperately before sitting down.

NOTE: You MUST keep the ticket at this point in order to get the Good Ending to the game. If you decide to return the ticket to the mother, you'll be made to take a path that will eventually kill a character later on and prevent you from earning the best ending. Keep the ticket, otherwise you'll have to replay this entire section.

With the ticket in hand, walk up to the guard infront of the gate and give him the tickets. He'll let Kara, Alice, and Luthor pass onto the bus. When you get to the bus door, Alice will ask about the couple. Pick the choice to REASSURE and you'll see a cutscene play out.

The Downtown Plaza Demonstration

After the scene from before fades out, things will shift over to Marcus with the rest of the Jericho survivors. When you can move again, you'll have to walk up to the car and use it to complete the barricade. Hit the prompts to push the car and a short scene will play before you reenter the barricade. Walk around the camp and speak to each of the people inside. You can talk to Simon, Josh, and some of the survivors on the ground.

advertisem*nt

As you move, you can light the garbage cans on fire, which will converge some of the androids together near them. In addition, you can walk up to the flag and plant it on the side of the barricade, which will increase your public opinion.

Marcus can also go to the equipment on the ground near the center and post a digital message to the human journalist in the distance, pick a peaceful message to display when you do so and the public opinion will further increase. Next walk over to North and speak to her.

You'll be given a choice of dialogue when speaking to North, mainly about the other survivors that were lost. When you're given a second choice, pick the option REGRETS and you'll see more dialogue between North and Marcus play out.

After the conversation finishes, you can walk around some more before North calls you over to the side of the barricade. The FBI agent will show up and call for Marcus to come to meet him.

When given the option to meet him or not, choose to ACCEPT his call and Marcus will walk out to talk with him. During the conversation here, Marcus will have a few more choices to make, which give options about standing off against the SWAT or surrendering to save his people. Pick the options OTHER DEMONSTRATIONS, NOT AFRAID, and REFUSE DEAL during this conversation.

advertisem*nt

NOTE: If you accept the deal from the FBI Agent, you won't be able to get the Good Ending. You have to refuse the deal you're offered, no matter what the FBI agent tells Marcus.

After you refuse the deal, Marcus will return back to the barricade and speak to everyone there. A grenade will be thrown and knock him down. After this scene, the perspective then shifts over to Connor back at the CyberLife Tower.

Two Connors

advertisem*nt

After a short scene with Hank being held up by the duplicate Connor, you'll be given a choice of dialogue. Pick the option HANK (to apologize to Hank), followed by CONVINCE. There will be a short conversation before you'll have to decide to give into the android's demands or try to hack the other androids. Pick the option to SAVE HANK and you'll give Hank enough time to get away, you'll then have to make another choice on what to do immediately. Pick the option to INTERPOSE and you'll save Hank and begin fighting the fake Connor.

Hit the button prompts that appear on the screen to fight off the fake Connor. Eventually, Hank will break up the fight and hold both Connors up. He'll begin questioning both of them and you'll have to give answers to some of his questions and reveal the real Connor. When asked about Hank's dog, pick the option SUMO. When Hank asks about his son's name, you'll be able to choose the option COLE if you looked through enough items back in the chapter "Russian Roulette".

After you see the scene play out, Hank will shoot the fake Connor and you'll be able to hack the androids in the room. Hit the prompts to begin the hacking and it will spread around the room. The scene will finish and control will switch over to Kara.

The CanAda Border

Kara will arrive at the border office in Canada with Luthor and Alice. When you exit the bus, you'll enter the building and get online. You'll be able to look around you at the crowd after learning of the scans happening in the front. Look towards Luthor to have a short conversation with him, which will open up an option for later. Next look ahead and to the right towards Jerry, who is also online. You'll open another option here for the end of the scene.

advertisem*nt

After that brief conversation, look towards the far left side of the room to spot Rose in the distance. Hit the prompt to notice her and then look towards the bathroom to have Kara get off the line with Alice and enter the bathroom. Once inside the bathroom, examine the mirror and then Rose will come into the room.

There will be a conversation between then where you'll have to choose different dialogue options. Go through each of the options, with the last one being DEPARTURE and then GOODBYE. Kara will have questions for Rose before leaving the bathroom. When you walk out the bathroom, go to Rose's son right next to you and speak to him.

After the short conversation, Kara will get back on line with Luthor and Alice. You'll then have to make a very big choice that will decide the ending you get, depending on what you've done in the chapter up to this point. To get the Good Ending, you must choose NO SACRIFICE before you get to the front of the line.

NOTE: If you've been getting a high Public Opinion gain through the chapters, then the NO SACRIFICE option will give you the best ending. However, if you don't have a lot of support for Public Opinion from Marcus' story, then you can choose to SACRIFICE JERRY to still get the Good Ending with Kara, Luthor, and Alice.

advertisem*nt

After you make the choice, a cutscene with the consequences of your choice will play out. The guard will let Kara pass through without an issue. All three of them will make it past the border office and enter Canada. The scene will fade and control will shift back to Marcus in Detroit.

The Demonsrtation Conclusion

Marcus will get up and immediately see more grenades being thrown into the barricade. Hit the button prompts to help other androids avoid them.

Eventually, the SWAT will enter the barricade and you'll have to avoid being killed by them. Keep hitting all of the button prompts that appear as the action progresses in order to save other androids and fend off the SWAT attacking everyone.

This will go on for a bit before Marcus and the group are cornered by the SWAT. You'll be given a choice of what to do in front of everyone. You can either Sing, Sacrifice Yourself, or Kiss North if you've build up a relationship with her. Pick the option to KISS NORTH and the attack will stop. This will begin to play a long cutscene that shows the aftermath of everything that has happened, including the president addressing the events in Detroit.

When you see Marcus addressing all of the androids in the area, control will shift over to Connor, where he'll speak with Amanda one last time. After the conversation, Connor will have to walk forward through a vicious blizzard.

advertisem*nt

The scene will quickly change from inside his mind and outside to Marcus' speech. You'll need to guide Connor through the blizzard over to a control panel that appears after the scene switches back into his mind.

Walk over to the panel and hit the button prompts to hit the button. Doing this will prevent Connor from pulling out his gun and killing Marcus during his speech. If you fail to hit the button, Connor will kill Marcus on the spot and you won't achieve the best ending.

advertisem*nt

If you manage to make it, the cutscene will continue towards the end of the chapter. This will then show the credits, and eventually for the Good Ending, a special scene showing Connor and Hank after the demonstration in Detroit.

NOTE: If you get the Bad Ending instead of the Good Ending, you'll get a completely different scene with Connor being decomissioned by Amanda. The scene with Hank and Connor is only viewable if you have gotten the Good Ending.
