Blues to wear road white jerseys at home (2024)

ST. LOUIS - The Blues will be wearing a very familiar - yet rarely worn at home - jersey on Saturday night when the club hosts the New York Rangers at Scottrade Center at 7 p.m.

For one night only, the Blues will wear their road jerseys at home, while the Rangers will wear their home royal blues.

The decision to make the switch was made to give Blues fans an opportunity to see the clubs' iconic road jersey at a home game, which hasn't been a regular occurrence since the 2001-02 season. Beginning with the 2002-03 season, the NHL required all teams to begin wearing dark jerseys at home.

"We loved wearing the white jerseys for our fans in St. Louis," former Blue Kelly Chase said.

Chase played in an era where white jerseys were standard for home teams.

"I'm a traditionalist, and I think many of the people and the fans who have followed the Blues for a long time will appreciate bringing back the tradition of wearing whites at home on Saturday," Chase said.

Road jerseys will be available for sale in the True Blues Authentic Team Store at Scottrade Center and all other retail locations in the arena.

In addition, the Blues will wear St. Patrick's Day-themed warm-up jerseys before the game. Jerseys will be available online at blues.gesture.com or by texting "BLUES" to 52182, with a portion of proceeds benefitting Urban Harvest.

A limited number of tickets for Saturday's game against the Rangers are available now at the Scottrade Center Box Office and online at ticketmaster.com.
