The Vancouver Canucks have jetted off to China in advance of a pair of preseason games against the LA Kings, in Shanghai and Beijing on Thursday and Saturday.
The additional travel had to be a concern for the Canucks, who lead the league in air miles every year as it is. It looks like no expense is being spared to ensure a comfortable journey for the prized players.
Rather than taking the team’s usual private jet, which is already a very nice ride, they stepped it up for the 12-hour flight over the Pacific.

The Canucks chartered a Boeing 777 jet through Crystal Aircruises.TheCrystal Skyehas been billed as “the world’s largest and most luxuriously spacious private charter jet.”
Just how spacious is it? It accommodates just 88 passengers, which about a third of the usual capacity for a plane of its size. Crystaladvertises that this plane has the widest cabins and highest ceilings around.
This plane has butlers, not flight attendants. It comes with an executive chef, not prepackaged airplane food.
It also has fully-reclining flatbed seats, a stand-up bar, and social lounge.
