Carl David Porter is the son of Jack Porter and the late Emily Porter. He is named after Jack's late father, Carl Porter and after Amanda's believed father, David Clarke.

Biography[]
He is born during the 4th episode of Season 2, Intuition. His christening takes place during the 9th episode, Revelations. Carl's godmother is Emily Thorne, a good friend of his parents and his godfather is his paternal uncle, Declan Porter. Carl lives with his parents in the Hamptons, more precisely at the Stowaway Tavern owned by the Porter family, until his mother died inSacrifice, now he's being raised by Jack alone with the help of his family.
History[]
Carl was born after his mother,heavily pregnant, fell from a balcony in Grayson Manor causing her to prematurely go in labour. Due to the nature of his birth Carl was placed into an incubator. Eventually both Carl and his mother were released from the hospital and lived at the Stowaway with his father Jack, while his uncle Declan lived onboard The Amanda to vacate a room for baby Carl.
When Carl's parents got married Carl was present at the beach wedding and had many photos taken with the wedding party. With his parents married and whilst going on honeymoon left Carl with his (believed) aunt Charlotte Clarke and uncle Declan Porter at the Stowaway Tavern.
With Jack being badly wounded by a gunshot and Amanda Porter murdered by criminal Nate Ryan baby Carl had lost one of his parents before even seeing a full year of his life.
During these tragic events baby Carl stayed in Charlotte's bedroom of Grayson Manor until his father was fully recovered from his injuries, where upon baby Carl was returned home to the Stowaway.
