Haley and Hanna Cavinder, known popularly like the "Cavinder twins," have shared a statement expressing they won't be returning to the University of Miami for their potential last season of eligibility, rather choosing to chase the next chapter of their life, which might not include basketball.

The Cavinder twins were only one season with the Miami Hurricanes basketball team after transferring from Fresno State, with the 22 year old players helping the program reach the Elite Eight round this past March Madness.

The Cavinder Twins thanked their coaches and teammates

They started the statement by thanking their teammates and coaches for bringing them in as family and allowing them to take part in a historic season.

"With that being said, Hanna and I have decided to not take our fifth year and start a new chapter in our lives. The U will always be home and we are forever proud to be Hurricanes."

Hanna and Haley could've opted to play for another season, given that the NCAA allowed athletes who had a year of eligibility during the COVID-19 pandemic, to extend their stay as college athletes to make it up during an extra year.

The Cavinder twins are amongst the highest earning college athletes through name, image and likeness deals, mainly due to their over 4.5 million followers on social media.
