You can visit the CBP Web site at www.cbp.gov or call CBP at 1-877-CBP-5511 (1-877-227-5511) Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time. You may bring the incorrect Form I-94 and documentation (passport and visa) to any CBP Port of Entry or Deferred Inspection Office.

Travelers may receive an email indicating they have 10 days remaining on their admission into the United States or an email regarding a potential violation. If you receive an email, you may check your admission status at https://I94.cbp.dhs.gov or through the CBP One™ mobile application.

Call US Customs and Border Protection at 1 (202) 325-8000 or visit their website. Terminal 1 Passengers: CATSA security screening begins at 3:00 am. Passengers can then enter the USCBP hall. USCBP processing takes place from 3:30 am until 9:00 pm.

Even though you always have the right to remain silent, if you don't answer questions to establish your citizenship, officials may detain you longer in order to verify your immigration status.

I-94 Correction Instructions: Submit I-94 correction requests via email to the dtwi94corrections@cbp.dhs.gov inbox.

Correcting an erroneous I-94 record

To request an I-94 correction, you'll need to reach out to CBP's Deferred Inspection unit at your nearest airport. Most I-94 correction requests can be handled via email, though occasionally a trip to the airport may be necessary.

It can take between 5 to 7 business days for updates/corrections to be processed by the CBP Deferred Inspection Office. If your I-94 is not corrected through the steps above, your F-1 or J-1 status or the benefits of your status may be negatively impacted.

What about the data on my phone, computer, or other electronic device? CBP agents may swipe through your phone or look through the documents on your com- puter. The government also claims the authority to copy the data on your electronic devices.

People who stay in the United States beyond the expiration date of their I-94 risk being barred from re-entering the country for a period of three (3) or 10 years, depending on the length of the overstay.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officers work together with Border Patrol agents to enforce the laws that keep our borders, airports, and seaports safe and secure.

Border patrol agents are usually responsible for larger areas, such as off-road regions with few or no other security measures. CBP officers work almost exclusively at ports of entry, such as airports, and may spend more time inspecting packages and processing paperwork than interacting with people.

You can check the status of your application from your TTP Dashboard www.ttp.dhs.gov, which is displayed after you login. If your application status is "Pending Review" then your application has been received and is being processed.

In order to apply for retirement, you can complete and download fillable forms from the CBP website or the U.S. Office of Personnel Management website. You can request a retirement package by calling RABAS at 202-325-6180 or 1-800-897-8612.
