ChemSec identifies top 12 PFAS producers
GOTHENBURG - Safer chemicals NGO ChemSec has identified the companies who are the biggest producers of PFAS substances - the so-called 'forever chemicals' used to make textiles stain- and waterproof.
ChemSec has also revealed the scale of the profits made by the companies from producing PFAS which it says are "surprisingly small – especially compared to the societal costs".
The NGO says the world's top 12 PFAS producers are AGC, Arkema, Chemours, Daikin, 3M, Solvay, Dongyue, Archroma, Merck, Bayer, BASF and Honeywell.
