Creating a Morning Ritual, Routine, and Schedule for Stock Traders Ep 231 - Tradersfly (2024)

I want to share with you how to create a morning ritual and give you some things to think about a full-fledged schedule.

You’ll see a simple schedule, and also I’ll give you a little bit more complicated one that you can use as a guideline.

Having a Plan & Following the Schedule is VITAL

I’m not saying that this is the morning ritual and routine that you should have. Instead, you should cater and create one that’s focused and centered around your personal needs. But maybe this will give you an idea or a little template to get started to planning out your day or morning.

Pro tip: Remember, a morning ritual is something that can jump-start your day. That way, things are aligned, and that way you get the gears moving.

You’ll get your mindsets and mentality warmed up. Otherwise, what happens is you jump out of bed, and you start doing things based on whatever the day brings, instead of having something purposeful to be able to concentrate and do the things that matter.

Some Morning Ritual Ideas You Can Consider

Creating a Morning Ritual, Routine, and Schedule for Stock Traders Ep 231 - Tradersfly (1)

We’ve talked about some previous ideas in one of my recent videos. If you haven’t seen it, be sure to take a look at the post 8 Key Ideas for Stock Traders to Create a Morning Ritual.

When you’re setting this up, think about appreciation and gratitude. As you wake up, this will make you feel a little more positive. I’m not going to go through each one of these bullet points in detail, as I did in the previous video.

Take a look at that video, but basically, there could be some mirror work or positive talk. You could visualize the WHY and the WHERE. You can set a daily weekly or monthly objective. Also, you need to work on your physical and mental health.

And remember to balance those things out and give some positive love back to your community, other people around you, friends, family, and that comes down to sharing and having community.

All these things create that positive energy around you, and it’s more purposeful.

When you start a morning ritual, don’t do it so hard. Do not order to yourself to do these 20 things and that you must follow these precise timings because you’re going to fail at it.

Doing so would be a huge switch. It’s like when you start a workout or a detox plan. If you’ve never detoxed, you loved eating meat and chicken, and now all of a sudden, you want to detox hard, that might be a huge problem.

In that case, if you want to go into a completely vegan diet, it’s very tough to do. That’s why most people fail at doing those things.

It’s like quitting smoking. Instead, you slowly get into it. Just add in one or two vegetable smoothies or juices. Add in a couple of salads per week. You slowly get into it, and then eventually, your body transforms, and your body is able to adjust. The same thing is here when you’re starting a morning ritual. It’s hard to all of a sudden go from whatever you’ve been doing to flip the light switch.

Some people can do it, and you might be able to do it for a short period, but not everybody has the endurance to stick with it. That’s usually I find the problem. Instead, start switching one thing and add a trigger to it. For example, every time you go to the bathroom, it might be your trigger going to the bathroom to where you’re doing now push-ups if push-ups or physical health is important for you.

When something happens, find a trigger and then add that new thing. Anytime you take a shower, you might add in a little bit of reading before, and then after the shower, you might add in a positive talk or maybe education or physical workout.

Balance those things out, find a trigger, and slowly add one or two things and build upon it. Then add another one or two things a few weeks later a few months later.

It depends on when you wake up. If you wake up at 5:15, this could be a start point for you.

If you wake up at 6:00, 6:15, 7:15, depending on how late you go to bed, that may be different for you. However, the concept is the same.

I’m getting up around 4:45 in the morning, depending on when I go to bed. You might start with hygiene. Then at 5:30, you can do some positive and some motivational things. At 5:40, you might do some yoga.

Quick note: Notice they’re not very long. Yoga might be 20 minutes. Hygiene might be 10-15 minutes.

6:00 you might drink some water and read some things for those 10 minutes. Then you might evaluate your objective for 10 minutes. And then contribute, think of others and do something else or maybe have some personal YOU time.

This could be a simple morning breakdown. It could be one for somebody that’s just starting out or pick two or three of these things. Then you’ll evolve it with time.

If you want to get more detailed and complicated, here’s a more complex morning ritual breakdown.

This is for those of you who are more motivated.

Let’s say you’re up at 5:15. You start your shower. Then 5:25 you might have a smoothie and get your body going jump-started.

Then 5:35 you might write in your journal, which gets your mind going. After that 5:45 you might do some morning Mirror talk or positive talk. Or it could be listening to something for 10-15 minutes. This is now hitting your emotional and spiritual side.

At 6:00 a.m., you might do a physical workout. This could be running, or it could be something with weights for 20 minutes or so. At 6:30, you have breakfast, and after that, at 6:50, you get some education going and some mental stimulation. Maybe something you want to work on and improve on.

For that, you can use 10-20 minutes depending on how much time you want to allocate. Then at 7:15, you could be evaluating your objectives and at 7:25 realign your agenda. This could be your daily agenda.

From 7:30 to 7:50 could be YOU TIME (watching funny videos, socialize, calling someone…)

And at 7:50, it could be some more yoga and stretching. Then you get your day going after the morning.

This is more detailed, but you could make it as specific as you want or as vague as you want. It’s just something for you to get started. This is not the perfect morning ritual that a stock trader, a day trader, or a penny stock trader needs to have.

It’s all about finding a pace that works for you. Ask yourself what are the things that are important for you.

Find something that you can balance your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual part. Get more positivity in your morning routine.

All that helps out, and that creates that balance. And if you have those things and you slowly build upon it, you can create a routine or ritual if you want to take it a step further that works for you.

You might not do this every single day.

Once you start having kids, sometimes you might cut out one or two of these things or a couple of these things.

Real-life scenario: Your YOU TIME might get cut short. Your morning mirror time might get cut short. Your breakfast you end up having with kids, and sometimes there are things busy. You might get short of breakfast, as well.

However, you did at least something from the list. At least you get the first half. It depends on your situation and lifestyle.

But having a base idea and base plan gets you started and the right foot and out on the right side of the bed.
