The maximum temperature in Delhi settled at 42.9 degree Celsius, three notches above the season’s average, said the Meteorological department.

The national capital has already started to sizzle under harsh summers as the highest maximum temperature touched the 46.3 degree Celsius mark. As per the India Meteorological Department, the highest maximum temperature of 46.3 degree Celsius was recorded in Najafgarh while Narela and Pitampura recorded a temperature of 45°C, reported ANI.
Ayanagar recorded 44 degree Celsius temperature and Palam recorded 43.8 degree Celsius.
The maximum temperature in the city settled at 42.9 degree Celsius, three notches above the season’s average, said the Meteorological department, reported news agency PTI.
The relative humidity oscillated between 25 per cent and 74 per cent, it added.

As per the MeT department the night temperature had settled three notches below normal at 24 degree Celsius, the report added.
The weather office has forecast partly cloudy skies and heatwave conditions at isolated places on Monday. It has also predicted strong surface winds reaching speeds of 25-35 kilometres per hour during the day.
As per the report, the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle at 43 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
On Saturday, the minimum temperature in the national capital settled at 23.2 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature at 40.4 degrees.
