Across all branches of the U.S. military, men were more likely to be officers than women. In 2022, there were 76,351 male officers in the U.S. Army, compared to 17,631 female officers. This contrast was even more stark in the Marine Corps, where there were 19,395 male officers and 2,096 female officers.
