There are dozens of ways that your story can change based on the choices you make in each playthrough of Detroit Become Human. This page will discuss the most positive outcome, or the Good Ending, the Bad Ending, with the most negative moments, and all the possible fates of Markus, Connor and Kara.

Detroit: Become Human Good Ending

This ending occurs when Markus chooses to lead a passive resistance and peaceful protest, Kara and Alice escape the government and cross the border to start a new life in Canada, and Connor abandons his anti-android mission and joins the revolution.

Steps to reaching this conclusion include:

• Connor, Markus and Kara surviving in every chapter.
• Connor gaining sympathy for Deviants in his interactions with them. This includes not executing the Tracis at The Eden Club or Chloe in Meet Kamski.
• Markus choosing the "Calm" options in his initial speech at the Stratford Tower and doesn't kill anyone.
• Kara recruits Luther after escaping Zlatko's mansion.
• Connor forming a friendly/trusting bond with Hank. This is helped by sympathizing with Deviants and choosing to rescue him in The Nest, Public Enemy, and in the CyberLife Tower.
• Markus leaving a pacifist message at Capitol Park and sparing the officers at the end when given a choice to execute them.
• Kara avoids alerting the police officer in Midnight Train.
• Kara makes it to the border by keeping the bus ticket and avoiding capture at the end in Battle for Detroit.
• Connor choosing to become a Deviant in Crossroads.
• Markus leads peaceful protests against the police and military during the Freedom March and the Battle for Detroit. Marcus must also not take the deal when offered by the FBI agent in Battle for Detroit.

Detroit: Become Human Bad Ending

This ending occurs when the android rights movement becomes a rebellious uprising, Kara fails to protect Alice and escape the government crackdown on deviant androids, and Connor betrays his people in the name of accomplishing his mission for the corporate heads of Cyberlife.

The main contributing factors to this ending are:

• Not all the main characters survive the entire story. Though if they do, there is still a "bad" ending.
• Markus chooses to give a "determined" speech at the Stratford Tower and shows little concern for human life during the broadcast.
• Kara fails to escape Todd's house and Alice is killed.
• Connor develops no empathy for any Deviants and executes the Tracis in The Eden Club and Chloe in Meet Kamski.
• Markus decides to incite a violent riot and kill two police officers during in Capitol Park.
• Connor fails to form a friendly relationship with Lt. Anderson, both by failing to sympathize with any Deviants and not saving him in The Nest, The Stratford Tower, or Battle for Detroit. This may culminate in Hank's suicide during Night of the Soul.
• Kara fails to escape from Zlatko's mansion.
• Markus attacks the police during the Freedom March, potentially getting killed or eliminating the entire response team.
• Connor remains loyal to Cyberlife instead of becoming a Deviant, and eventually confronts and kills Markus during the Battle for Detroit.
• Kara and Alice are decommissioned in the recall center in downtown Detroit.

Markus

The best-case scenario for Markus is that he survives to the end credits and no longer has to worry about the U.S. government "decommissioning" his people.

His revolution can succeed in several ways, either as a peaceful liberation movement that succeeds in part due to the sympathy of the American public, or a violent uprising against the government that asserts android independence regardless of public opinion.

Markus can be killed in several points in the story, including Freedom March, Crossroads, and Battle for Detroit.

Kara

Kara's best-case ending is the one wherein she, Alice and their new protector Luther make it through the border without having to sacrifice themselves or anyone else to start their new life. This happens when Kara, Alice, and Luthor are able to make it to the border and get pass the security checkpoint without being captured.

Conversely, Kara and Alice can find themselves captured by the government and sent to an android recall camp during the Battle for Detroit - Kara has the option to abandon Alice and escape or remain by her side, but if Markus fails to liberate the camp, they will both be permanently decommissioned.

Kara (and Alice) can meet their own ends during the chapters Stormy Night, Zlatko, and Battle for Detroit. During the Battle for Detroit, Luthor can also meet his end with Kara and Alice, or sacrifice himself to save them.

Connor

Connor, while able to be killed at many points in the story, can meet his ultimate end in the Cyberlife tower or on the streets of Detroit.

Connor's "good" ending occurs when he (a) chooses to become a Deviant in Crossroads, (b) successfully defeats the security team and his duplicate model at the Cyberlife tower and frees the thousands of androids in the factory there, and (c) manages to overcome Cyberlife's hacking attempt after the androids are (tentatively) granted their independence.

Connor can also remain loyal to Cyberlife, and then must confront and defeat Markus during Battle for Detroit. If he succeeds and completes his mission, however, he is informed by Amanda after the main credits that he is being replaced by the RK-900 model and will be decommissioned. Consequently, Hank will also commit suicide during Night of the Soul if Connor remains loyal to his mission and fails to make a bond with him.
