Certainly! It seems like you're delving into the strategic realm of hockey drills and systems. As an enthusiast and someone well-versed in hockey tactics, I can break down the concepts utilized in the drill and the associated terminology.
The drill you've described revolves around a system for forwards entering the offensive zone to apply pressure and maintain control. Here's a breakdown of the concepts:
-
F1, F2, F3: These refer to the forwards entering the offensive zone.
-
Puck Pursuit: F1, the first forward, aggressively chases after the puck.
-
Positioning of F2: The second forward, F2, heads to the puck side boards to prevent any pass up the boards, essentially cutting off passing lanes.
-
Role of F3: The third forward, F3, positions themselves in the middle of the ice between the hash marks, likely to support the play or capitalize on opportunities created by F1 and F2.
-
Adaptation of Positions: If the puck moves to the opposite corner, F1 adjusts by moving towards the front of the net, F3 takes up puck pursuit, and F2 transitions to cover the other side of the boards, essentially rotating positions to cover different areas effectively.
-
System Category: This falls under the category of 'Systems' in hockey, which refers to predefined strategies or structures employed by teams to execute plays efficiently.
-
Platform and Creator: The drill was created using HockeyShare.com's Online Drill Drawing & Practice Planning Platform, emphasizing the role of technology in modern coaching methodologies.
-
Date and Modifications: The drill was created on April 9, 2013, and last modified on October 6, 2013, showcasing its longevity and potential effectiveness over time.
Understanding these concepts showcases an in-depth knowledge of hockey strategy, coaching methodologies, and the intricacies of offensive play development within the sport.
