On 8 October 1956, Don Larsen pitched a perfect game for the New York Yankees against the Brooklyn Dodgers in Game 5 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium in New York City, USA. In baseball, a perfect game is a victory of at least nine innings during which the opposition does not reach a single base. The Yankees won the game 2–0; as of 2017, it remains the only perfect game to have been pitched in a World Series.
