Standard

Gamemodes (1)

Arsenal's core gameplay. It is the most played and most basic of the Arsenal gamemodes, including every single weapon in the game with the exception of some weapons.

Standard Mode does not end until a player gets a kill with the Golden Knife, lasting over 32 kills.

Standard mode was formerly the only gamemode always in the rotation and if two gamemodes were tied, one of them being Standard, Standard would automatically win where it would be changed on the Pre-Halloween Update II. Until 08/31/19, Standard was the only votable mode in the pool as others were happened to be locked after a non-standard round.

Brickbattle

Gamemodes (2)

Introduced on 01/11/19, BrickBattle is a gamemode based on the classic ROBLOX genre of the same name. Players will start out with the Trowel and Sword as secondary and melee weapons then have some of the BrickBattle weapons as their primary. The Golden Knife was originally the final weapon to win the round however it was replaced by the Golden Bomb on the RETROPALOOZA Update.

The gamemode used a separate map pool from the rest of Arsenal public play, allowing for gameplay on classic Roblox maps such as Bloxburg, Chaos Canyon, Crossroads and RavenRock. There was a map called Skylands that appeared in the mode for a short amount of time, it was removed possibly because the map was massive to the point players were struggling to get kills.

Exclusively through the RETROPALOOZA Event, players can get BLOXXER Bricks from destroying walls and killing enemies in the mode to build body parts of skins in order to obtain them. Calling cards can be received via completing objectives and weapon skins can be obtained permanently if a player killed more than 8 enemies.

It was removed from the public rotation on the Halloween Update, but it was brought back on the RETROPALOOZA Update. Before that, the gamemode was accidentally removed on 02/09/19 and was able to return on 02/16/19.

Automatics

Introduced on 02/03/19, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized automatic weapons and the kills required to win are reduced to 32 with the Golden Gun being the last weapon. The Golden Knife was originally the final weapon to win the round however it was removed on 01/01/22.

It was temporarily removed from the public rotation on the Summer Update, but it was brought back on 02/03/21. Since its temporary removal, the weapon slot have not been updated with the recent automatic weapons.

Pistols

Introduced on 02/14/19, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized pistols and the kills required to win are reduced to 16 with the Golden Gun being the last weapon. The Golden Knife was originally the final weapon to win the round however it was removed on the Summer Update III.

It was temporarily removed from the public rotation on 03/09/19 stealthily, but it was brought back on 02/03/21. Since its temporary removal, the weapon slot have not been updated with the recent pistols; although the G-21, which was released afterwards, was added immediately to the slot.

Concussion Mania

Introduced on 06/05/19, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized the Concussion Rifle and the kills required to win are reduced to 16. The Golden Knife and the Golden Gun are excluded in this gamemode, as they were stealthily removed on 03/06/20.

Previously, this mode used the icon of Railgun Royale as a placeholder because an icon was never created for it. On 06/20/20, a proper icon was made for Concussion Mania.

It was temporarily removed from the public rotation on Halloween Update, but it was brought back after the subsequent event has concluded.

Gun Rotation

Gamemodes (6)

Introduced on 08/25/19, This gamemode will have all guns for all players will automatically and simultaneously cycle after 20 seconds. Players are encouraged to obtain as many kills as they can with a single weapon before it switches in order to achieve the 32 levels needed to win, with the Golden Gun and the Golden Knife being the last two weapons.

If a player has 30 kills, their last used gun will not cycle with the rest of the players unless they are killed. They must use that weapon to kill another player in order to proceed to the Golden Gun.

Clown Infection

Introduced on 10/24/19, this gamemode involves a satirical representation of clowns. At the start of the round, up to 4 clowns are chosen and are given Squeaky Hammers, the ability to double jump and increased walkspeed. Their objective is to hunt down the survivors and turn them into clowns. If a clown kills a survivor, three seconds are added to the timer. The players that earn the titles of Strongest Survivor, Scariest Clown, or Circus Disintegrator win the round.

Since its release, this gamemode would return to the public rotation every updates regarding Halloween up until it was naturally added to the public pool on The Update of All Time.

It was temporarily removed from the public rotation on the Galactic Assault Update, but it was immediately brought back to the rotation due to community feedback.

Clown Infection is also a selectable gamemode for 24/7 servers.

Randomizer

Gamemodes (8)

Introduced on 03/20/20, players will receive different weapons every time they respawn. This gamemode will last 4 minutes and players with the most kills win. Each kill will reward the player with points. The Golden Gun can be obtained in this mode, but will not grant the Golden Knife on a kill.

On Summer Update III, players are initially given an opportunity to re-roll another weapon which is a one-time use, but it will replenish another re-roll upon getting a kill.

Randomizer is not available to be selected for 24/7 servers.

Legacy Competitive

Introduced via private servers on 02/28/20, only 31 kills are required to win in this gamemode. There are multiple of acceptable weapons in Legacy Competitive and getting a kill with the Golden Gun gives you the win, skipping the Golden Knife. Certain hitscan weapons are only included in the slot while all of explosive (but one) and projectile weapons weren't. The gamemode was originally private servers-only until it was added to the public rotation on 04/15/20.

The gamemode was only created by Castlers for Bandites's 100K Robux Arsenal Tournament that featured developers and content creators, but was somehow added into Arsenal.

This gamemode was originally just called Competitive, but it was renamed due to Competitive 1v1 Elo. Previously, this mode used the Counter Blox icon then a profile image of Castlers as placeholders because an icon was never created for it. On 06/20/20, a proper icon was made for Legacy Competitive.

Legacy Competitive was accidentally removed multiple of times being: 03/22/20, 01/31/21 (was once replaced by Projectile Party gamemode) and 02/03/21. At one point, it stays detached from private servers until 02/11/21.

Laser Tag

Introduced via private servers on 02/05/20, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized science-fiction or tracer-shot weapons. Laser Tag does not end until a player gets a kill with the Minifigure, with at least 32 kills. It was added to the public pool on 02/03/21, a year later.

On Galactic Assault Update, Golden Knife was replaced by Minifigure as the mode's final weapon. The appearance of Minifigure is exclusively an Astronaut rather than Elflinquent.

It was removed from the public rotation on the Summer Update III because of players' FPS would drop drastically due to distinguishable bullet tracers being fired everywhere including your own weapon. However it was brought back on Galactic Assault Update.

Projectile Party

Introduced on 02/03/21, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized projectile weapons. Projectile Party does not end until a player gets a kill with the Golden Knife, with at least 16 kills. The kill score limit was stealthily reduced from 32 kills on The Update of All Time.

Projectile Party is also a selectable gamemode for 24/7 servers.

On 01/31/21, Projectile Party accidentally replaced Competitive under the name "Projectiles Only", even though it was not meant to be added yet. It was eventually reverted hours later.

It was removed from the public rotation on 02/10/21, but it was stealthily brought back on 05/25/23. Since its initial removal, the weapon slot have not been updated with the recent projectile weapons.

Hard Mode

Introduced on 07/06/21, Hard Mode consists of 16 kills with some of the most disliked weapons in Arsenal. In addition, melee kills will demote a player back to the first weapon. The final 4 weapons in order to win are Golden Gun, Golden Bow, Golden Bomb, Golden Knife respectively; the Golden Bow can specifically demote players back to the first weapon also.

Hard Mode was originally intended for private servers only.

Competitive

Gamemodes (13)

Full information: Competitive 1v1 Elo

Introduced on 07/06/21, Competitive is a matchmaking version of Legacy Competitive which can be accessed by clicking on the 'Extra' option.

The player will get 4 points pre-kill specifically and get to the new weapon by killing the enemy two times. It has a 4 minutes timer in the round and can rapidly end if the player or enemy leaves mid-match thus losing Elo.

Insane Mode

Introduced on 10/31/21, Insane Mode is similar to Hard Mode in terms of consistency with some of the most disliked weapons in Arsenal however players will have to earn 32 kills to win. The final 6 weapons in order to win are Golden Gun, Golden Bow, Golden Hush Puppy, Golden Bomb, Golden Musket, Golden Knife respectively; Golden Bow, Hush Puppy and Musket can specifically demote players back to the first weapon also.

A major difference from Hard Mode is the damage from all sources (excluding backstabs and certain golden weapons) are reduced by a half. Previously, a player getting backstabbed will be demoted back to level 1 just like in Hard Mode. This was later changed to a normal demotion on the Winter Update.

In the voting pool, it has a 1/10 chance of being selected instead of Hard Mode or a 1/100 chance of being selected instead of the voted gamemode however it has a 1/10000 chance of popping up in any normal gamemode.

Snipers Only

Introduced via private servers on 10/29/23, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized sniper rifles. Unlike all weaponry-exclusive modes, Snipers Only required the Autobow to win within 31 kills.

Snipers Only was hidden within files of the game since Summer Update III, as its addition was planned and it wasn't officially published until it was added to private servers.

It was added to the public rotation on Galactic Assault Update.

Introduced on 12/09/18, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized weapons that were featured on Downy Press' game, Typical Colors 2.

It was removed from the public rotation on the Summer Update and since then, the weapon slot have not been updated with similar weapons that were later featured on Typical Colors 2: M9 (Conventional), Trench Gun (Bullet-stormer), M14 (Boonie Blaster), M249 (M249), R800 (Einsteinium), Mossberg 500 (Gutbuster), Crossbow (Crusader's Carbine), M40 (Sniper Rifle), Bow (Huntsman), MAC-10 (MAC-10), Peacemaker (Quick Draw), Makarov (Silenced Pistol), Hi-Power (Pistol), DBS (Poacher's Pride (2018 model)).

Wild West

Introduced on 12/09/18, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized weapons that were used during the American Frontier, well known as the Wild West, and the kills required to win are reduced to 16 with the Golden Knife being the last weapon.

It was removed from the public rotation on the Summer Update. Since its removal, weapons used during the Wild West like the Blunderbuss, Crossbow, DBS, Gatling Gun and Peppergun were not added to the weapon slot.

Swordfights

Gamemodes (19)

Introduced via private servers on 06/05/19, Swordfights is a gamemode based on the classic ROBLOX game called Sword Fights on the Heights IV created by Shedletsky. All players must kill each other with only swords in order to roll another type of sword, all of which cannot do backstabs with the exception of the Ice Dagger. Swordfights does not end until a player gets a kill with the Golden Knife, with at least 16 kills.

The Heights is the fundamental map that the gamemode can be played on.

As of 12/20/21, every swords that appeared in the gamemode were made into a knife skin.

Kill Confirmed

Gamemodes (20)

Introduced on 02/14/19, Kill Confirmed mode still roll a new weapon upon kill but does not reward players with points where it instead drop a team-colored star from the eliminated enemy, which must be grabbed by players in order to either score for their team or deny enemies an opportunity to score. Enemy stars reward 1 point while ally stars reward 2 points.

The game ends once the 3-minutes timer runs out, with the team at the highest amount of stars winning.

It was removed from the public rotation on the Halloween Update.

Juggernaut

Gamemodes (21)

Introduced on 10/24/19, one player is picked as the Juggernaut, with quintuple the amount of health of a normal player (500) and all other players must try to kill the Juggernaut. The player that finishes the Juggernaut will instantly respawn in a less-crowded area as the Juggernaut while a hysterical sound plays to alert the server. The Juggernaut is identified via a character with orange-color clothing.

The Juggernaut's objective is to kill as many players as they can, as the most kills would win the round. This gamemode will last 3 minutes. Backstabs can insta-kill the Juggernaut regardless of the 150 damage.

Juggernaut is also a selectable gamemode for 24/7 servers.

In Arsenal: CTE, Juggernaut have the exact amount of health as normal players and killing the Juggernaut will automatically select the killer as the Juggernaut with no instant respawns. The timer is organized around 30 seconds.[1]

It was removed from the public rotation on the Anniversary Update.

Arcade

Gamemodes (22)

Introduced on 03/20/20, this gamemode is radically different from standard Arsenal. Instead of killing players to get weapons and progress 1 level, the user will have to eliminate enemies with guns lying around the map that they can pick up; the only playable map in this mode is Lunar.

Every gun in this gamemode has no reload, as the user is given a big magazine and no reserve ammo. The only ammo size that doesn't change is the Barrett, as it completely removed the ammo capacity. Everyone has 75 health instead of 100. The mobility of the players in this gamemode is identical to the clowns in Clown Infection, as they have the same speed and a double jump.

The game ends once the 3-minutes timer runs out, with the player at the highest amount of kills winning.

It was removed from the public rotation on 04/19/20.

Headshots Only

Introduced via private servers on 09/29/20, this gamemode disabled hitscans from bodyshots, detecting only headshots or backstabs against victims and the kills required to win are reduced to 32 with the Golden Gun being the last weapon. The weapon slot for the gamemode contained the same weapons as Legacy Competitive, except for the Concussion Rifle as it lacks headshot damage.

Headshots Only is also a selectable gamemode for 24/7 servers.

Headshots Only was accidentally removed on 01/31/21 until it was brought back on 02/11/21.

Concussion Mania 2

Introduced via private servers on 07/06/21, it is a testing version of the original Concussion Mania. Unlike its original counterpart, it consisted several of re-balances including infinite ammo on the rifles, players earning 1 point for killing another with the rifle then earning another 3 points for environmental kills, knockback increasing the lower their health, players taking control of the knockback caused by the enemy and the Concussion Rifle dealing 5 to self and does 25 to enemies.

The gamemode will also include specific maps however an unnamed greybox is the only map available currently.

Shooting Range

Introduced via private servers on 07/06/21, this gamemode took place on a map where there is a specific prompt that allowed players to select and display advanced statistics of certain Arsenal weapons featured in the game files including damage (also headshot damage which is identified as "Critical Damage" instead), fire rate, gun spread, splash radius, etc.

This gamemode is not available in private server commands but it is exclusive to maps like Shooting Range and Shooting RangeCTE; both of which included dummies to test the damage of a weapon the player is currently equipping.

Bomb

Introduced via private servers on 10/31/21, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized the Bomb and the kills required to win are reduced to 16 with the Golden Knife being the last weapon.

Before the gamemode was added, it was in the game files for several of months, more evidently through a screenshot uploaded by xonae on Twitter.

Snowball Fight

Introduced on 11/30/21, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized the Snowball, now dealing a record of 1336 damage. Snowball Fight is also locked to 2 teams.

Unlike some of similar gamemodes that only included a titular weapon, Snowball Fight mode has a 2 minutes-timer and register the two teams' total kills, with the team having the most total kills win.

It was removed from the public rotation on 01/01/22.

Firework Launcher

Introduced via private servers on 05/16/20, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized the Firework Launcher and the kills required to win are reduced to 16; which functions the same as Concussion Mania mode. It was added to the public pool on 12/31/21, to celebrate New Years 2022.

Firework Launcher is a selectable gamemode for 24/7 servers. The gamemode is also featured in Stinky's Lair map for the Coffee Quest event.

It was removed from the public rotation on the Valentine's Day Update II.

Monkey Business

Gamemodes (29)

  • "Work with your teammates to collect bananas, the team with the most wins!" (spawning information)

Introduced via private servers on 07/06/21, the gameplay is identical to Kill Confirmed mode however certain bananas will spawn on various places in the hosting map. It was added to the public pool on the Post-Summer Update III.

Players must collect bananas in order to thrive a win for their team, it will be registered in the two teams for the total of how many bananas players have collected. Collecting the first 15 bananas will turn the player into a Monkey with increased movespeed, an ability to double jump and is locked to using a melee weapon; managing to kill the Monkey will transform the killer into a Monkey.

Knife stabs and backstabs contributed by a Monkey won't directly demote the victim.

It was removed from the public rotation on the Halloween Update IV.

OddBall

Gamemodes (30)

Introduced on 10/31/21, this gamemode insisted players to secure the OddBall that is located at the center of the map. Upon securing the ball, it will notify the server that a player have the OddBall and a team-color marked indicator will appear on top of their head that follows their movement; this indicator will wear off if the ball is unpossessed. Each round has a 3 minutes timer.

Holding onto the ball generated points for their team and in exchange will have the player's health drained. If the OddBall remained untouched for 20 seconds, it will reset to its position.

Golden Gun and Golden Knife were originally involved in the gamemode but they were later taken off the weapon slot on the Winter Update.

It was removed from the public rotation on the Valentine's Day Update III. When the gamemode was initially added, it was accidentally left out of the public rotation until a day later. It also originally used Legacy Competitive's icon and voting description which would be changed on the Winter Update.

Knife Fight

Introduced via private servers on 10/24/19, this gamemode determined players to use their melee weapon only within an increased walkspeed and jump power. The Knife Fight does not end until a player gets a kill with the Golden Knife, with at least 16 kills.

It was added to the public rotation on The Update of All Time, the patch that initially added the mode to public pool didn't include Knife Fight in the voting rotation due to the script not saving, but the issue have been fixed afterwards.

It was removed from the public rotation on the Galactic Assault Update.

Railgun Royale

Introduced on 12/09/18, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized the Railgun and the kills required to win are reduced to 15. The Golden Gun was previously the final weapon to win the round however it was removed on the Prime Gaming Update.

It was removed from the public rotation on 01/16/19 and the Galactic Assault Update respectively. It was brought back for a while on 05/21/20, with the Golden Knife removed simultaneously.

Shotguns Only

Introduced on 01/01/22, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized shotguns. Like Automatic and Pistols gamemodes, Shotguns Only required the Golden Gun to win within 31 kills.

Previously, this mode lacks a voting icon and used the official placeholder decal because an icon was never created for it. On 01/17/23, a proper icon was made for Shotguns Only.

It was removed from the public rotation on the 2023 Minor Patch Update and Galactic Assault Update respectively. It was brought back for a while on The Update of All Time.

Introduced on 02/27/19, Free For All gamemode removed teams completely, as players will be on their own and must get the final kill on an enemy in order to be promoted to the next weapon like Standard mode. Players won't get assists in this mode due to being unaccompanied.

Free For All was later converted into a team type on the Showtime! Update.

All Weapons

Introduced via private servers on 05/16/20, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized every weapons in the game excluding the developer-exclusive ones. Players will start out with 0 points and switch to the next weapon upon earning one; the player with the highest points wins after a 6-minutes timer.

It uses the previous icon for Clown Infection as a placeholder.

It was removed from the game on 05/18/20, which is 3 days after its addition.

Bows Only

  • "You read right, only your three favorite weapons!" (voting information)
  • "good luck" (spawning information)

Introduced via private servers on 07/03/20, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized the bows and the kills required to win are reduced to 16 with the Golden Knife being the last weapon. It was essentially created for GDILIVES.

The gamemode's voting icon decal can be bought for free on the ROBLOX Creator Marketplace.

It was removed from the game on 07/04/20, a day after its addition. After its removal, it was terminated from the game's code at some point.

Hackula

Gamemodes (39)

  • "Standard Arsenal with Hackula's spells!" (voting information)
  • "Standard but curses apply every 30 seconds! Reach the Golden Knife for a final elimination to win!" (spawning information)

Introduced on 10/26/20, Hackula gamemode is physically Standard however a spinning icon will appear on the top center of the screen and select the anticipated curses every 30 seconds, such as Low Gravity, Slow Motion, Fast Hands and others. Upon winning the round, players will automatically teleported to Monastery and battle Hackula himself.

Defeating the boss while dealing over 1500 damage on the boss will achieve the Hackula skin, which is only obtainable via public servers.

Since its release, this gamemode would return to the public rotation every updates regarding Halloween, however it was temporarily removed from private servers on 06/03/23 due to the constant bug issues surrounding the mode.

Hackula DX

Gamemodes (40)

  • "Alright nerds! Let's play!" (a line from Hackula)

Introduced via private servers on 10/31/21, Hackula DX gamemode starts identically to its original counterpart however the game would automatically get to where players battle Hackula, now striking a goblin-like design.

Hackula's attacks in this gamemode deals more damage than the original where he could immediately eliminate many players as he can.

Defeating the boss will achieve the Hackula DX skin and it can be obtained anytime regardless the deviation of Halloween events, however it was temporarily removed from private servers on 06/03/23 due to the constant bug issues surrounding the mode.

Pump Action Power

Introduced on 06/24/23, it is a non-Standard mode that only utilized a certainty of shotguns. While being similar to Shotguns Only mode, Pump Action Power only included shotguns that are pump action. Pump Action Power does not end until a player gets a kill with the Golden Gun, with at least 31 kills.

It was first added temporarily for experimental purposes then it was removed hours later.

Dundertale

Gamemodes (42)

  • "It seems in you're in for a bad time.." (a quote from the boss)

Introduced on 05/16/20, Dundertale gamemode essentially appeared in the titular map. It accommodated the Blue Soul that should be destroyed using the Pulse Laser; the soul would throw white and blue bones at you.

After its defeat, the player will be allowed to create a duplicate of a skin they currently have to put the Sans unusual on. This could be repeated multiple times.

This event ended on the Summer Update II.

Apartment

Gamemodes (43)

  • "Protect the cute green frogs!" (a quote in-game)

Introduced on 06/21/20, Apartment gamemode essentially appears in the titular map. The player will spawned with the Henry Rifle equipped to shoot every target cardboards to get 1000 points with exception of the green frog cardboard.

After reaching 1000 points, the booth will splatter confetti and teleport the player back to the main game to obtain the Froggy skin.

This event is currently broken.

Slaughter

Gamemodes (44)

  • "It uh- it seems you uhm might of somehow stumbled upon a personal project of mine." (a quote from the Mechanic)

Introduced on 02/03/21, Slaughter gamemode have at least 5 nights to complete in order to gain skins of the remaining animatronics. The Mechanic will order the player to get at least various cans of gasolines and tinders to burn the restaurant down to complete the night.

The mode was temporarily removed on 12/17/22 because of new items from then-recent Winterfest Update would break the mode, it was fixed and re-added a day later.

New Years

Gamemodes (45)

  • "Participate in a social experience with other players in your timezone to celebrate the new year!" (prompt information)

Introduced on 12/31/21, New Years gamemode can be accessed via 10 minutes before midnight in your timezone through the 2021 New Years Event prompt. This gamemode was made to celebrate the new years of 2022.

In-game, this gamemode allowed more than 16 players in the server (because of the mode taking place on a separated game) and gave everyone the Snowball, which cannot deal damage against people nor get points. The map that took place during the event is called City Square, which is available in private servers.

cXVIc3Q=

Introduced on 01/06/22, "cXVIc3Q=" gamemode can be accessible when redeeming your ROBLOX user profile ID on the 'Codes' prompt. The player spawns in a map known as Snowy Bridge and started off with the Deagle and 500 health; if taken damage, your health won't regenerate unlike in the actual game.

The player will have to travel multiple of locations through clues and objectives in order to obtain the Night's Edge melee weapon.

The gamemode's name when decoded is Quest.

Bombfest

Introduced on 03/18/22, the Bombfest gamemode imparted a 6v6 sport teams tossing The Bomb into the enemy team's moving ring to score a goal. The team may use their Bomb-Blaster to debilitate opponents in attempt to prohibit them to get The Bomb.

If your team wins with a player being in first place, the players who scored at least one goal will get a random Bombfest item, which is only obtainable via public servers.

This gamemode is an annual event so it will re-appear in the 'Extra Gamemodes' menu and will then be removed at the end of March.

Shooting Challenge

Introduced on 12/15/22, Shooting Challenge gamemode regards a shooting range similar to the Shooting Range mode, however the Brute will guide the player upon join.

Throughout the course, players should shoot armed targets and avoid unarmed targets to unlock the next stage within seconds to get the best timer; if not, they will try again.

Players can still visit the gamemode even after the event ended.

It was released during the RB Battles 3 Event and this gamemode can be accessed through the 'Extra Gamemodes' menu.
