How much money did the Rangers earn for winning the World Series?
The exact amount the winners of the World Series receives is not fixed, because it depends on ticket sales and TV revenue. In recent years the amount has been around $30 million and for 2023 it is estimated that the World Series champion will take home around $35 million, which breaks down to about $440,000 per player.
The Astros previously picked up $38.7 million, the largest in Major League history. The World Series runner-up also receives a prize pot for their part in the battle for the Commissioner’s Trophy. Various reports suggest that the second-placed team takes home around $25 million.
