The Holidays are sneaking up on us and I know that for a lot of Americans this is a stressful time for your budget. I thought I would help you get a head start on the Holidays by giving you a few ways you can earn extra cash for the holidays! Before you know it the Black Friday Ads will be rolling in :)
Here are some quick ways to stash away a little bit of extra money for Christmas Shopping so that you can avoid putting those gifts on the Credit Card this year.
1. Have a Garage Sale
Fall is a great time to have a Garage Sale and even if you don’t want to sit outside your home most cities have Virtual Garage Sale Groups on Facebook! You can post items you want to sell and then meet up with buyers who want to make a purchase. Ebay, Craigslist, and Amazon are also other great places you can sell your items online.
Having a Garage Sale is also a great way to clean out your home before you bring in new stuff during the holidays and a great way to clean out if you are planning on hosting company during the holidays.
2. Start taking online surveys

3. Host a Moms Day/Night Out
During this time of year there are always people looking for additional childcare so they can do their Holiday Shopping. If you’re a stay at home mom you could offer to open your home on a Friday and invite your friends to drop their kids off for a flat fee so they can get some shopping done. You can earn some additional quick cash just by hosting several Open Babysitting events, you can advertise for free to your friends using Facebook or Instagram.
4. Have a No-Spend Month
This one isn’t so much about earning as it is saving, but hosting a No-Spend Challenge for your family is a great way to set aside extra cash for the holidays! You can try your best to avoid spending money for one month and see how little you can live on. Try to eat from your pantry and freezer and avoid eating out. You can also use up those items in your stockpile and put your Coupon Shopping on hold for a month to set aside extra cash in a hurry!
Having a Spending Freeze allows you to set aside money you would typically spend for a specific purpose. That way you have money to start working with when the Holiday deals start showing up in a few weeks.
5. Sell your services on Fivrr or O-Desk
There are a lot of great online freelance sites like Fivrr or oDesk available online. You can browse the jobs available and apply! This is a great way to work from home and earn a little extra cash for the holidays quickly.
6. Join FieldAgent
One of the newest trends in market research is getting real time information from people who are shopping in stores. Companies like FieldAgent are Free to Join and they will pay you to complete tasks, take photos in stores and more!

7. Search Online with Swagbucks
Did you know you can earn Extra Money for the Holidays just by searching online.
