I’ve seen in this community where it’s been stated that:
”anything that alters the hardware (i.e. your iPhone) and cannot be removed (as is the case with liquid screen protectors)will void AppleCare and your warranty. Cases and removable screen protectors don´t affect AppleCare and your warranty.”
But I don’t see that stated anyplace in the actual warranty. Can anyone point me to the actual legal language where this is written?
Or, is this information incorrect?
Thank you.

This Warranty does not apply:
c) to damage caused by use with a third party component or product that does not meet the Apple Product’s specifications
d) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, liquid contact, earthquake or other external cause
(g) to an Apple Product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Apple

Thank you for that reply. I have read this section. But it does not say anything about “alters the hardware”.
It says “modified to alter functionality or capability” of which the screen protector does neither.
So I’m still wondering where that statement comes from.

I just spoke with Apple Support. Using a liquid screen protector does NOT void the warranty. The information I quoted in my original post is incorrect.

Legal - Hardware Warranties - Apple
Liquid screen protectors would likely fall under "what is not covered," section g.
