Chipper Jones is one of the great third baseman of all time, and also one of the top power hitting switch hitters. Despite all his offensive prowess, Jones was also one of the top glovemen at the hot corner. Game used Chipper Jones gloves are rare to the collector's market as only two known fielder's gloves have ever been sold on the private market.
One of these gloves isthis 11.75 inch Mizuno MCL 5001 fielder’s glove, that was gifted to his former Atlanta Braves' teammate Andruw Jones, and shows evidence of nice game use. His name “C. Jones” is embroidered along the outer thumb, with pocket wear and scrapes along the finger tips. Light soiling also appears on the fur wristband. This gamer comes with an LOA from Chipper’s former teammate Andruw Jones, who states: “I, Andruw Jones, Hereby verify that this Chipper Jones circa 2001-02 Glove is original and was given to me by him. This glove has been a part of my personal, private collection and it is 100% authentic including my signature shown below.” This is a great game used glove worn in his prime by a sure fire first ballot Hall of Famer with rock solid provenance. Also includes a CD of Jones using glove in a game.
