Have you ever had a problem getting a match to light? If so, you might be using the wrong type of match. There are actually two different types of matches: safety matches and strike-anywhere matches.
Safety
Safety matches are the kind that light only when struck on the striking surface on the side of a matchbox. A striking surface consists of sand, powdered glass, and a chemical called red phosphorus. The tip of a safety match is made of glass powder, sulfur, and an oxidizing agenta chemical necessary to keep a flame burning.
When a safety match scrapes against a striking surface, the glass powder on the striking surface and match head rub together, creating enough heat to turn a bit of the red phosphorus on the striking surface into white phosphorus. The white phosphorus ignites in air, passing ignition across to the match head.
Chemical Reaction
This starts a chemical reaction that uses the oxidizing agent on the match to produce oxygen gas. Combined with the heat, the oxygen gas causes the sulfur to catch fire, which then spreads to the wood of the match. A strike anywhere match works almost the same way, except the red phosphorus is included in the match head. So, a strike anywhere match can be lit by striking the match against any hard surface.
Go to www.match.com and log in (if you haven't already). On your main screen, click Daily Matches in the menu on the left, or move your mouse cursor over Matches in the menu across the top and click Daily Matches.
Some members choose not to respond to all contacts, although Match encourages everyone to reply to all messages received. Not all members are subscribers. Only paying subscribers, or recipients of the Reply for Free feature, can reply to emails they receive.
We don't currently offer a way for you to retrieve your deleted Messages. Messages are only kept in Match records for 180 days. This means Messages are automatically removed from the site 180 days after they are sent, even if you don't delete them.
Match keeps track of the number of people who have viewed your profile. When someone clicks on your profile, the number goes up. However, all the people clicking on your profile aren't necessarily listed when you look at 'who's viewed me' and each click may not be a unique user.
The purple star is how you Super Like someone on Match. Or if you see one in your "Likes You" feed, that means that user Super Liked you. Match premium users get a weekly Super Like included with their membership, and additional Super Likes can be purchased ala carte. However, only Premium users can use the feature.
Emails seem to disappear from your inbox for a few reasons: Messages have been flagged incorrectly. You have accidentally deleted the email. You have accidentally filed emails in the wrong folder.
Issues with Internet connection. Issues with Default View Settings of Outlook folders. Lack of space in Outlook mailbox account. Auto Archive Settings.
Be true to your personality — if you're funny, be funny but if you're more serious then no need to pull out the jokes now. Ask a specific question about your match that they have mentioned in their profile — about their job, their interests or what they are looking for.
