NIFT Entrance Exam 2024: NTA has released the advanced intimation slip for the Situation test 2024. The admit card for the situation test will be released soon. NIFT situation test 2024 will be conducted on April 13, 2024. The National Testing Agency released the NIFT stage II situation test and personal interview dates on the official website - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/. Qualified candidates can participate in the stage II round of personal interview. Candidates can download the personal interview call letter from NTA website by using their application number and date of birth. Candidates need to go through the instructions mentioned on it and the information bulletin.

The NIFT entrance exam was conducted on February 5, 2024. The Authorities has scheduled the dates for situation test/ studio test/ TAT/ personal interview for the bachelor's programme on April 13, 2024. The NIFT situation test timings are 10 am to 12 noon, Technical Ability Test (TAT) timings are 10 am to 11 am. Personal interview timings are from 2 pm onwards. Earlier, the authorities have scheduled the personal interview dates for PG programmes such as M.Des, MFM, and MFTech in Offline mode. For M.F.Tech programmes, personal interview is scheduled from April 1 to April 2, 2024. For MFM Programme, Personal interview will take place from April 1 to April 3, 2024. For M.Des programme, Personal interviews will be conducted from April 4 to April 6, 2024.

The National Testing Agency has declared the NIFT 2024 results on its official website - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/. Candidates can download the NIFT results 2024 by entering the NIFT login credentials such as application number and password or date of birth. Interviews for the Master's Programmes at NIFT will be held from April 1-6, 2024 in Delhi. What is the entrance exam for NIFT?

The National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance exam is the entrance exam conducted for admission in NIFT. The application form for the NIFT entrance exam 2024 was released on December 5, 2023. Interested and eligible candidates were able to fill out and submit the application form for NIFT 2024 online by providing the required details and documents on the official website -nift.ntaonline.in.

To complete the application process, students have to pay an application fee of Rs 3000 (Rs 1500 for SC/ ST)in online mode. How to fill out NIFT Application Form 2024

The steps to fill out the NIFT application form are given below:

• Step 1 - Candidates have to create their login ID
• Step 2- After that, they will have to log in and fill out the application form
• Step 3- Next, candidates have to upload the requisite documents as per the specified specifications
• Step 4- Make the payment -Applicants have to pay the requisite fee online mode using a net banking/ credit/ debit card. The application fee for candidates who belong to general/ OBC (Non-creamy) categories is Rs. 2000 while those who fall under SC/ ST/ PHP categories will have to pay Rs. 1000.
• Step 5- Submission of application form -Applicants should not forget to keep a printout/photocopy of the NIFT 2024 application form for future reference, along with proof of payment.

Window to update/ edit NIFT Entrance Exam Application Form

The authority provides an opportunity for candidates to correct the information in their application if needed. Candidates, however, can not change the NIFT exam centre later once it was filled. If the application form is found ineligible for NIFT 2024 admissions after editing it, the application fee already paid will not be refunded and the candidature of an applicant will be cancelled.

The NIFT 2024 entrance exam application form correction window will be available from the second week of January 2024. Candidates will be able to edit their submitted application form by login into the dashboard.

NIFT Entrance Exam B.Des Exam Pattern

NIFT B.Des GAT exam pattern is given below for the understanding of the aspirants writing the entrance test. The number of question, language of exam, mode, marking scheme and such factors described in the exam pattern of NIFT B.Des GAT 2024 can be checked below in the table. The exam pattern of NIFT entrance exam 2024 for the Creative Ability Test namely CAT has not been released by the authorities yet, Candidates are advsied to focus on concept development and design as questions will be designed to test them in these areas. They must be creative and make innovative use of their colour and illustration skills.

Generally three questions are asked for a total of 30 marks and candidates are tested accordingly.

NIFT Entrance Exam M.Des Exam Pattern

NTA has announced the personal interview dates for M.Des programme on its official website -exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/. To download the personal interview call letter, candidates can use their login credentials such as application number and date of birth. Qualified candidates can participate in personal interview from April 4 to April 6, 2024.

NIFT 2024 Situation Test will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates of CAT and GAT for B.Des admissions. This will be held separately for those who have qualified. The situation test is a hands-on test used to evaluate the candidate’s skills for material handling as well as the innovative ability in a given situation with a given set of materials.

The Exam Pattern of the Situation Test can be summarised as follows:

• Duration: two hours
• Test involves: Design of one three dimensional (3D) model.

Note: Candidates will be provided with all the required design materials which should be checked by them upon receipt.

Some guidelines:

• Candidates will be permitted to bring some items as instructed in the admit card
• They must make optimum usage of the same. Additional materials will not be provided.
• Colour pencils and marker pens are not allowed.
• An Answer Sheet will be provided separately for any writing purposes which has to be signed by the candidates in the exam hall.
• After completion of the test, the model, answer sheet and any left over materials must be left by the candidates on the table.

Evaluation Criteria for the NIFT Situation Test 2024 are as follows:

• Originality of the concept applied.
• Creative use of material and the skills for the same.
• Neatness of the final model.
• The write-up describing the model and concepts used.

NIFT Entrance Exam M.F.Tech Exam Pattern

NIFT M.FTech exam pattern gives candidates all the information about the type of questions, duration of exam, language, sections asked and more. This will aid candidates in better preparation for the exam and planning of the exam day.

Note: Candidates who qualified for the NIFT entrance exam can participate in the personal interview. The authorities will conduct the Personal interview from April 1 to April 2, in offline mode. Students can download the personal interview call letter by ending the application number and DOB on the NTA official website.

The admit card for NIFT 2024 written exam has been issued on February 2. Candidates can download NIFT 2024 exam admit card on the official website. Candidates must note that the hard copy of the NIFT exam 2024 admit card will not be sent to the student's address/ email.

They have to carry the NIFT entrance exam admit card to the test centre, along with a valid ID proof. No candidate is allowed to enter the examination hall without the NIFT exam admit card documents mentioned above.

Mode of Counselling: Online
