Red Sox set U.S. sports record for sellouts (2024)

BOSTON -- The Red Sox set a record for the longest regular-season sellout streak in major U.S. sports with the 745th consecutive sellout of Fenway Park on Sunday, a 4-3 loss to the Nationals.

The NBA's Portland Trail Blazers recorded 744 sellouts from 1977-95. The Fenway streak began on May 15, 2003, the second year of the current ownership group's tenure.

That's another feather in the cap for Fenway, the oldest park in the Majors at 100 years old.
