Southwest Airlines Celebrates the Freedom to Fly with Spectacular Low Fares

DALLAS - July 5, 2005 Southwest Airlines gives people the Freedom to Fly across the nation with spectacular low fares. In honor of our nation's birthday, Southwest Airlines is offering extra savings to Customers traveling to or from select Florida destinations. These spectacular low fares range from $39 to $79 one-way, are offered only on southwest.com, and will be available for a limited time. The following are examples of the low fares:
- $39 one-way fares are available between Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood and New Orleans, between Orlando and Birmingham, between Jacksonville and Nashville, between West Palm Beach and Jackson, and between Tampa Bay Bay and Norfolk.
- $49 one-way fares are available between Jacksonville and Albany, between Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood and Hartford, between Orlando and Buffalo, between West Palm Beach and Baltimore/Washington, between Tampa Bay and Islip/Long Island, and between Orlando and Philadelphia.
- $59 one-way fares are available between West Palm Beach and Cleveland, between Orlando and Detroit, between Tampa Bay and Chicago Midway, between Jacksonville and Louisville, and between Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood and St. Louis.
- $79 one-way fares are available between Orlando and Albuquerque, between Houston and West Palm Beach, between Tampa Bay and San Antonio, and between Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood and Austin.

The Internet-only fares are available for purchase today through August 4, 2005, and are valid for travel from Aug. 18, 2005 through Sept. 29, 2005. Tickets must be purchased at least 14 days before departure. Seats are limited and will not be available on some flights that operate during very busy travel times and holiday periods. Fares do not include a $3.20 segment fee per takeoff and landing. Fares do not include airport-assessed passenger facility charges of up to $9 one-way and federal September 11 Security Fees of up to $5 one-way. Tickets are nonrefundable but may be applied toward the purchase of future travel on Southwest Airlines. Fares are valid on Southwest published, scheduled service only. Fares may be purchased one-way and may be combined with other fares. When combining fares, all ticketing restrictions apply. Any change in itinerary will result in an increase in fare. Fares are not available through the Group Desk.
