What defines a Superannuation account as lost?
Your super account can be classed as ‘lost’ if no money has been added for 12 months, and if your fund does not have your current address.
Or if you have a default employer super plan, an account is considered lost if no money has been added for five years.
While the average lost super account has around $10,000, the balances can vary from hundreds to thousands of dollars.
