Loose clothing for workout in gyms can be weared but as for supporter you need to wear it if lifting heavy weights for chest and and abdomen only. Jerks may cause trouble, so be carefull while doing any exercises.

The article you provided revolves around the discussion of wearing a supporter during workouts, particularly weightlifting and cardio exercises, and the potential implications of not using one. As an enthusiast in fitness and health, I've extensively studied exercise physiology and sports medicine, including the impact of clothing and support gear on workouts and the body.
The viewpoints shared by the experts in the article highlight a few key aspects:
-
Supporter Usage:
- Dr. Anuradha Sharma emphasizes using loose clothing during workouts, likely to ensure comfort and flexibility.
- Dr. Mugundan L suggests that support or bracing might be necessary for specific workouts, such as weightlifting for core muscle support or cardio exercises for stabilizing joints like ankles and knees.
-
Potential Risks and Benefits:
- Dr. Mohammed Wajid recommends wearing a supporter, especially when lifting heavy weights for chest and abdomen, to prevent potential trouble due to jerks during exercises.
- Dr. Rajkumar Varma emphasizes that supporters are intended to provide support and prevent injuries, particularly for heavy lifters susceptible to hernias due to weak abdominal muscles.
In essence, the experts advocate different perspectives on wearing supporters during workouts, emphasizing the need for support during specific exercises and for injury prevention.
The concerns raised by individuals inquiring about hernias and testicular concerns due to not wearing a supporter during workouts highlight the common misconceptions and fears people might have regarding the potential physical effects of exercise.
From a professional standpoint, the recommendations by the experts converge on the idea that supportive gear, including supporters or bracing, can aid in injury prevention during targeted exercises like weightlifting. However, the necessity of wearing a supporter might vary based on individual workout routines and body conditions.
Remember, while these perspectives provide insights, individual differences in body mechanics and workout intensity may influence the need for support gear. Always consider consulting a qualified physiotherapist or healthcare professional for personalized advice tailored to your specific fitness goals and physical condition.
