The Warstic Bonesaber Hybrid is the only bat where we literally can't find one single thing to complain about. It's easy to swing for a 2-piece hybrid, the sweet spot is super forgiving, the tapered no-knob handle is FANTASTIC, and the exit velos speak for themselves.

The Bonesaber Hybrid is currently the most well-rounded bat in all of BBCOR.

You can think of the Atlas as a slightly heavier-swinging Voodoo One with a bigger sweet spot. While it definitely doesn't look the part... this thing absolutely bangs. A massive upgrade from the Solo in our opinion, and legitimately reminiscent of the legendary Easton XL3 and Omaha 517.

For the first time ever, we have a $500 composite bat near the top of our BBCOR rankings... it's a tough pill to swallow, but the Rawlings Icon has given us no choice.

The Rawlings Icon has won exit velo tests against the Glowstick Quatro, Voodoo One, The Goods, CatX, and Atlas. This is probably the best composite BBCOR we've ever swung.

One of the biggest sweet spots in all of BBCOR. You can think of the Select Pwr as a lighter-swinging "The Goods" with a tiny bit less pop. The Select Pwr has an incredibly comfortable feel on contact and you'll immediately notice its unique composite-esque sound. This is one of the most popular bats in D1 college baseball - and for good reason.

The Goods is probably the single most-loved bat in the game. One of the best sweet spots in BBCOR and the ball absolutely jumps off of this bat. The Goods is definitely more on the endloaded side, so it pairs well with stronger/advanced hitters.

The Goods would very possibly be a Top-3 ranked BBCOR bat if it wasn't for the durability issues. The 2-piece connection joint has been a liability over the last few years...

The 2-piece CatX Connect is one of the most versatile BBCORs in baseball. The swing weight is very light for a 2-pc hybrid, and it has a very forgiving sweet spot (especially towards the hands).

This is the closest thing we've ever seen to a "2-piece Hybrid Contact-Hitting Bat".

The Clout AI replaces the "5150" line of bats, and it might be Rawlings' best 1-piece BBCOR they've ever made. The best way to describe the Clout is: an Atlas with a super thin handle. Very "whippy" and can be somewhat difficult to control... but this bat is reallllly hot.

The Clout is one of only 4 BBCOR bats that Will has hit 109 MPH exit velo with.

The Marucci CatX 1-piece is the easiest-swinging bat in all of BBCOR. The rare combination of a light swing weight and a forgiving barrel has made the CatX one of the most popular bats in high school baseball.

The CatX is really similar to the DeMarini Voodoo One, but with a slightly better sweet spot and slightly lower max exit velos - making it perfectly suited for a younger contact hitter.

The Combat "B2 ATB" was the winner of our "Best BBCOR for $150 or less" video. This 1-piece composite is actually just a repaint of the 2020 Easton Maxum 360 - which is a perfect fit for a younger contact hitter. It's super light swinging, it has a forgiving sweet spot for how light it is, but it still has better pop than most composite BBCOR bats out there.

Make sure you break it in with at least 150+ BP swings. This will help increase the pop of the bat, but it will also make the sweet spot feel a lot better.

'True Temper' closed its doors in 2022 and merged with 44Pro... but they have a ton of their old bats left over for SUPER cheap.

The HZRDUS was True's "1-piece Hybrid" BBCOR bat - it looks like a standard 1-pc alloy, but it has the flex/forgiveness of a 2-piece bat. The swing weight is a slight endload, the sweet spot is huge, and the sound/feel on contact is super satisfying. Additionally, the HZRDUS is available in half-inch sizes.

The Hype Fire absolutely shattered our previous exit velo record of 116 mph... with multiple hits at 120+ mph. This is probably the single hottest bat in the history of USSSA... but it's also one of the more fragile bats out there.

With the -5 version: DO NOT use this bat in BP. This is definitely a "gamer only". But as is common with Easton, the -8 and -10 versions of the Hype Fire are noticeably more durable and require a bit of break-in.

You can think of the 2024 Rawlings Icon as the "balanced-swinging Hype Fire". Aside from the swing-weight difference, the drop 5 (-5) Icon is a tad less hot and a tad more durable than the Hype Fire -5... but the -8 and -10 Icons are noticeably hotter out of the wrapper than the -8 and -10 Hype Fires. So if you want that "Hype Fire effect" in -8 and -10, go with the Icon... if you want that "Hype Fire effect" in -5, go with the Hype Fire.

SWING WEIGHT: balanced

The Easton Encore is the only bat in USSSA with a legitimate alloy/composite hybrid barrel. The Encore's "CompCore" technology runs a composite wall along the inside of the bat's alloy shell - resulting in a bat that is hotter than any other USSSA alloy bat, but is more durable than most USSSA composite bats. The Encore is a perfect durable/cold-weather alternative to the Hype Fire.

2-pc Hybrid | $180

The USA Bonesaber Hybrid is the lightest-swinging USA 2-piece Hybrid on the market, and really offers everything you could ask for in a USA bat: balanced swing weight, great exit velos, and a WAY better-feeling barrel than most other USA bats. It's one of the few USA bats that doesn't really "feel like a USA bat" when you hit with it.

The Select Pwr is the only USA bat that rivals the Bonesaber Hybrid when it comes to "sweet spot". This is our favorite USA bat for a more experienced "power-hitter" type that can handle a tiny bit of endload. The only thing holding the Select Pwr out of the #1 spot is that it's not quite as broad-appealing as the lighter-swinging and cheaper Bonesaber Hybrid.

Yes, Warstic has 2 of the best 3 USA bats 😳. The Bonesaber 1-piece is one of the lightest-swinging USA bats on the market, and it has a noticeably more responsive barrel than most other 1-piece alloy USA bats. AND it is surprisingly dent-resistent (which isn't the case for similar bats like the Voodoo One and Atlas).

The stickiest tar in the game.

The OG Kraken 'Grip Stick' is what we use for the majority of the year, but we switch to the Kraken 'Death Grip' Spray in more extreme weather conditions (when it's either really hot or raining/wet outside).

Our go-to model is the Powerstrap Infinite Series ($70), but the $30 to $40 CFX Pro is by far the best bang-for-your-buck batting glove in the industry.
