My gloves have two spaces for which I can put my thumbs. What exactly are these for? Pretty sure I know the answer but just want to make sure.

Theyre there to prevent hyper extension. Some people cut it for more mobility.

So putting my thumb in the hole that gives better feel has a higher risk of hyperextension?

no...the prevention of hyper extension depends on the glove. Lower gloves without plastic inserts usually dont prevent it, higher end gloves usually do. Cutting the thumb loops out does increase it though as your thumb could move away from the thumb protection

I'm confused, so I took some pictures of what I mean..
First pic is with my thumb in the loop (pushing my thumb out so you can see). Get much better stick feel this way.
Second pic is just my thumb in the glove not in the loop. Feels like a standard glove this way, okay feel but much better with finger in loop.
It just seems like the thumb should go in the loop.

its just the way the warrior gloves are made. I know what youre talking about, ive seen these before. Its most likely just for comfortability, and if you want movement or not. If that doesnt answer it you could always email info@icewarehouse.com

I get what your saying! Um I dont know if there is a correct pocket to put your thumb in, but I put my thumb in the one that is attached to the thumb loop (first picture) because number 1: I think that's how its suppose to be & Number 2: It feels better and more thumb mobility! Hope this helps!

There is no right or wrong way tit just comes down to your preference, some people prefer the increased mobility using the thumb loops, and even more by cutting the thumb loops, some prefer more protection by using the "thumb lock" which is the little pocket inside which is what I prefer myself. all preference.

i had always cut the loops on my warriors, until last season when i took a slap shot, defense got the body in the way of the follow through and completely dislocated my thumb. now its thumb lock all the way haha
