Skateboard legendTony Hawk can still pull the move that made him a household name: a 900, whichinvolves a two-and-a-half, or 900 degreespin while midair. And on Monday,17years to the day afterhe landed the trick at the Summer X Games in San Francisco,Hawk did it again in a video that's racked up millions of views on YouTube in a matter of days.
"It really was the apex of my competitive career, so I'm going to try a 900 today" Hawk, now 48,said in a video by RIDE Channel."I never thought I'd be doing this at my age when I was young. I really didn't think that was a possibility. But I'm still going. Keepgoing until the wheels fall off I guess."
But it does takehim a few tries to get the movejustright.
