How do we turn off the automatic highlighting when scrolling through the vendor lists / transactions? If the column is too narrow, QB highlights the text to show all of it. But that prevents scrolling from working which is incredibly annoying. I have my columns sized as I need them and I don't need QB to stop me from working to tell me what I already see. An example is attached.

Hi @GalinMcMahon,
Thank you for the screenshot you included in your post.
You can disable this feature in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). Here's how:
- Go to theEditmenu.
- SelectPreferences.
- ClickGeneral.
- Under theMy Preferencestab, remove the check on theShow ToolTips for clipped textbox.
- PressOK.
At this point, you'll no longer have any pop-ups that stop you from scrolling down a list.
For your reports, I suggest you take a look at this article:Set report preferences. It's a detailed guide on what you can change under theMy PreferencesandCompany Preferencestabs.
Tell me in the comments below if you have other questions about your QBDT settings. I'll be sure to get back to you.
