Don't lie.
Whether it is Facebook or Linkedin, you have likely liked your own post at one point.
But when you did it, you likely had someone tell you, "seriously, did you just like your own post?".
lol.
But here's the thing on Linkedin.
If you like your own post, you will likely get many many more views.
But instead of being worried about whether people will think you are weird or whether you feel weird doing it. Do it, trust me.
Let me give you an example of the traction you can get by liking your own post.
When I like it I get 1/3 of my views from it. So my posts sometimes go from 5k views to around 6500 views.
Sometimes it skyrockets to half or 3/4s of my views if it gets traction.
I have more than 11k followers and liking my posts in a sense reposts them to all my followers.
Here's are three tips to helping you like your own posts:
1) Wait to like your own post. You will get the bulk of your views within the first 72-96
hours. If you wait past this point, you can create another chance at a post going viral.
2) Make sure to like your own posts consistently. Don't be too concerned with what
other people think. No one succeeds like that, you know this.
3) Make sure you like and comment on every single one of the comments on your posts. Not only does it show your connections that you appreciate them but it shows helps re-ignite your visibility.
