Is it possible for God to change the past?
He can heal our bodies, our minds and even change the events of our life, for nothing is impossible for Him. There are so many places in the Bible where God actually changed the past. Consider all those whom He raised from the dead, the most famous and well-known was Jesus Christ Himself, in the glorious resurrection.
Last week we talked about the Cross of the Lord Jesus Christ and today we will continue to see how God can reverse the irreversible. God can change the unchangeable. What man says is impossible; with God Almighty it becomes possible, the cross was a place of exchange and a place of reversal!
God can still turn it around
God can change anything and turn any situation around. Even when doctors have given up all hope and say there is nothing that they can do, Jesus still can. He can do what is needed; He can do what is necessary. When we put our faith In Him, He can turn it around.
What a privilege to know that God will take every moment of our past, present, and future and use them for our good and his glory. Praise God that the gospel redeems what was once lost and hopeless.
In Isaiah 43:18-19, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”
His Mercy is unchanging. Psalm 100:5 says, “For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.” The same is true with His knowledge, sovereignty, holiness, power, faithfulness, goodness, patience, grace, and even His wrath. His attributes never change. God's will never changes.
He sees our life filled with unlimited possibilities and we can too! “But Jesus looked at them and said, with man this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible” Matthew 19:26.
The Father knows what we need before we ask (Matt. 6:8), and He does not alter His eternal, sovereign plan simply on our say-so. Yet, although prayer does not actually change God's mind, prayer does change things. “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working” (James 5:16).
We don't always know how God redeems our mistakes but recognizing that no mistake is too big for God leaves us with peace. No one is too far gone or has too many failures to be redeemed by God. God redeems our mistakes and helps us fulfill our purpose and call to glorify Jesus by the way we live our lives.
God allows struggle and difficult times because we are sinners and we all come short of the glory of God. God loves us, but because of our sinful nature, He allows these things to happen.
How does God change your thinking?
Intense, long-term contemplation of God and other spiritual values appears to permanently change the structure of those parts of the brain that control our moods, give rise to our conscious notions of self, and shape our sensory perceptions of the world.
Lord, thank you for this opportunity to turn to you in my weakness. God, by doing so I know that true strength happens. Please, help me to rest in this knowledge as I journey with you on this road of change through your power, grace, and love. Amen.

God can restore lost years by multiplying your fruitfulness.
The harvests for these people had been wiped out for four years, but God restored the years that the locusts had eaten by giving bumper harvests.

Every time you bring up their past to mock them for their choices or your own to draw comparisons, you are wedging a gap. This is not a constructive habit and moreover, it is unhealthy. You might feel that you are talking from your feelings and emotions, but what you are actually doing is bullying them for their past.

God wants you to change your mind. What we think, consciously and subconsciously, continually dictates how we feel: love, peace, joy, hope, and a sense of purpose, on the one hand, or fear, anxiety, anger, isolation, depression and aimlessness.
Does God remain the same?
Both Malachi 3:6 and Hebrews 13:8 declare that God is the same always and never ever changes. He is always good, always loving, always all-powerful. No matter how this world changes around us, we can trust God is consistent. He is the same yesterday, today, and Forever!
God never stops working for our good — no matter how much time goes by. If we have faith that God holds our eternity, we can have faith that He holds our everyday. When things don't go as we plan, hope for, or pray for, we can rest in the assurance of knowing God's promises never fail us.
And so, trust God even though things don't make complete sense to you at the moment. Seek God sincerely in prayer. Keep hoping, keep believing, and keep persisting. There is no obstacle that is too big for God to turn around for your great good.
Although we cannot control how or when God answers prayer, His words to Abraham respond to our doubt as well: “Is there anything too hard for the LORD?” The answer to this question is a resounding, “No, nothing is too hard for Him.” He is able to do what seems impossible.
And Your Reality Scans show that people who spend untold hours in prayer or meditation go dark in the parietal lobe, the brain area that helps create a sense of self. A researcher says these people may be rewriting the neural connections in their brains — altering how they see the world.
There is no right or wrong way to pray during Adoration. It may be helpful to use a prayer book, or read Scripture, or another spiritual book, or pray the rosary.
God Uses Our Failures To Reveal Our Sin And Change Our Futures: God can use our brokenness and our failed experiences to reveal our sin and change the course of our lives forever. In our brokenness, it is safe to say that we need Jesus. But in our sinful state, it is often impossible for us to admit this.
The Bible teaches us that failure is one of the main tools God uses to make us more Christ like. He transforms us through these experiences if we allow Him to do so. In addition, God sometimes opens up new opportunities to serve Him.
Second Corinthians 5:7 tells us it can be difficult to trust God during uncertain times, but as believers we know that His ways are not our ways, and He will ultimately work all things for good (Isaiah 55:8-9, Romans 8:28). Having faith in difficult times can allow you to find peace in God's presence.
Nothing is too hard or difficult for God. The Word of God declares that when you believe God in your situation, all things become possible to him that believes. Mark 9:23 “JESUS said unto him, If thou canst believe, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE to him THAT BELIEVETH”.
What God says during difficult times?
Psalm 9:9 “The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.” Similar to the previous verse, Psalm 9:9 emphasizes placing your trust in God.

Additionally, He speaks to us through His Holy Spirit and through dreams, visions and our thoughts. Further, God will use events and circ*mstances to speak with us. More often than not, God uses the people He has placed in our lives to speak to us.
When he changes your plans, it's because he knows what you do not know and it's good for you. God loves you. He doesn't have ulterior motives or a hidden agenda. He is making us more and more like Jesus, his perfect Son.
If you stop being scared for a moment and open your eyes, you'll notice signs all around that God is transitioning you. But once you notice, you'll probably also face distractions that will try to calm your fears and keep you trapped.
Pray the Word.
Scripture gives us the authority to claim our miracle whether it is physical healing, reconciliation with a friend or loved one, financial provision, wisdom at work, or even something as seemingly impossible as world peace. Every situation imaginable has an applicable promise in the Bible.
God tells us that he can change our hearts, and he promises that he will. There is marvelous hope here! Think about what Christ offers you in the gospel.
God actually gives us a softened heart when we turn to him in search of healing from our hardened heart. Having a softened heart is like having a whole new heart that is more refreshed, more willing to love God and others, and more open to trusting Him.
Ask God to use your regrets
Feel the feelings associated with the regret. Take each regret, like a stone, and place it before God, asking for his forgiveness for any part you have played. Tell God he can take this stone and use it if he would like, in any way he would like. Allow him to use your past for good.
God is the source of our security and guards us from danger. Just like He guards the pilgrims going to Jerusalem, God will watch over you and me all through our lives. One can be confident that help comes from God.
Does God forgive your past sins?
If we get lost, scared, or headed in the wrong direction we can turn to our Savior, Jesus Christ, for forgiveness and comfort. He is there to forgive us for those sins we repent of and help us get back on the right path so we can live with Him again.
And He does not stop acting for His people once He has delivered them from judgment, for He also promises to restore what they have lost in their exile. This is the great hope promised in Leviticus 26:40–45.
They are not wasted. Those in heaven don't need our prayers, and those in hell are unable to profit by them. Only those who are undergoing purification prior to entering full union with God in heaven (1 Cor 3:12-15) can avail themselves of our prayers.
He Restores
He is able to restore earthly relationships. And he can even restore days and years that have been lost to the effects of sin (Joel 2:25). That has to be greatest evidence of the extravagant nature of God's mercy. Not only can he renew a life and redeem its future, but he can also redeem its past.

Why is changing the past impossible?
Most physicists agree that you cannot change the present by going back to the past. The Novikov self-consistency principle is a formal statement of this assertion. If we are able to go back to the past, and make changes, the universe will simply rearrange events so that the present stays the same.
In short, space-time would contain the entire history of reality, with each past, present or future event occupying a clearly determined place in it, from the very beginning and for ever. The past would therefore still exist, just as the future already exists, but somewhere other than where we are now present.
On the one hand, it is clear that God is omniscient and immutable. Peter said to Jesus: “We understand that you know everything.” (John 16:30). God declares “the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done.” (Isaiah 46:10). Therefore, he does not and cannot change his mind.
