Can I pray God for money?
God cares about your daily necessities of life... food, clothing, shelter. He promises to provide these and add many other blessings, if you will pray and ask Him “as you also” follow Him with your life.
But there is nothing too big or small, too overwhelming or ordinary, that we can't offer to the Lord in prayer. When money is tight, honesty is the best posture we can take when approaching Him, especially since He already knows what we need before we ask (Matthew 6:8).
We can and should ask God for financial help, but always in the light of what the true purpose of prayer is—to lead us into a closer relationship with and obedience to God (James 4:8). We can pray for financial miracles but should do so with a humble, patient, and trusting heart.
I am begging for a financial breakthrough, Lord. Please deliver us from poverty and lack of finances. Please grant us a life of abundance and faith. Please help us to enjoy life and to have financial freedom. Lord, I know you have plans for us, plans to always prosper us and liberate us from all forms of evil.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) – “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.” Matthew 7:7-8 (ESV) – “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Some folks question whether it's okay to ask God for financial help. So first off, let's dispel the notion that God doesn't care about your money or that it's wrong to pray about your finances. Nothing in the Bible says that. If it's important to you, it's important to God.
While tithing 10% of your income is biblical, you're not required to tithe to be a Christian. And you're not a bad Christian if you don't tithe. Thankfully, God loves us when we give and when we don't give. And that's key here: We don't have to tithe to earn God's love—because we already have it.
The simple answer is yes, God hears your prayers.
God will give you everything you need. We're reminded to seek the Kingdom of God first, rather than seeking things that just satisfy us in the short term. When we do this, we can lay our money problems at God's feet—remembering that God works all things for the good of those who love him.
God will answer your prayers, but that doesn't mean He'll just give you whatever you ask for. Because He knows what's best for you, He will answer your prayers in His way. Strive to ask for things that are in harmony with the will of God.
How to ask for wealth from God?
Take time to pray for a financial breakthrough, citing the promises you've just read from God's Word. Print them out, put them on your bathroom mirror, desk, or refrigerator, and remind yourself what the Bible says about money each and every day. You don't have to live in debt or in fear of what the economy might do.

God Will Take Care of You and Your Finances
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need (Matthew 6:31-33). Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable.
You are the God who provides all my needs according to your riches in Glory. I come to You as I am struggling financially, asking for your provision. Remove my fear, doubt, and unbelief. Fill me with Your peace and confidence in the promise of your care for me in time of need.
One promise we frequently quoted, was from an epistle of Paul, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). We nearly ran out of money or provisions on many occasions, but somehow God always met our need.

Should you tithe if you are in debt?
Although we aren't commanded to give 10% of our earnings to God, he does expect us to be givers. Don't look at the requirement to not tithe as an opportunity to be stingy. In the Old Testament, God required Israelite farmers and herdsmen to give the tithe regardless if they were in debt or not.
And aren't you far more valuable to him than they are?” (Matthew 6:26 NLT). Two, you are valuable because Jesus gave his life for you. The Bible says, “You have been bought and paid for by Christ, so you belong to him” (1 Corinthians 7:23 TLB). The fact that you belong to God adds incredible value to your life.
Lord, have mercy is the most prayed prayer in the Bible. And get this: there is not one time in the Bible where God denies this request!
There is nowhere in the Bible where we're told that Satan can read our thoughts, and thus hear our silent prayers. Scripture never states that angels are all-knowing. And if a holy angel isn't omniscient, neither is a fallen one like Satan.
You may have felt like your sins are too serious or that you have made the same mistake too many times. But no matter how much we have sinned, we can always repent and be forgiven. Some sins may be easier to correct than others, but Jesus Christ has provided for total forgiveness from all sins.
