Can you have 2 running backs on the field?
There are usually one or two running backs on the field for a given play, depending on the offensive formation. A running back may be a halfback (in certain contexts also referred to as a "tailback" — see below), a wingback or a fullback.
Typically, NFL teams keep at least two quarterbacks, four running backs, three tight ends, six wide receivers, and nine offensive lineman active on the offensive roster. On defense, the typical makeup of players is at least nine defensive lineman, seven linebackers, and ten defensive backs.
The "pro set" formation features an offensive backfield that deploys two running backs aligned side-by-side instead of one in front of the other as in traditional I-formation sets.
A "third down back" is a guy who is expected to run straight ahead for short yardage in third and short yardage situations, or at the goal line. He is not expected to move around in the backfield looking for a hole, or to have much speed once he penetrates the line of scrimmage.
Many players do play multiple positions. It's quite common on offense and defense. Depending on a particular defense, some players move around and play different roles. On offense, running backs play receiver, depending on certain offensive sets.
Having a two-quarterback system has an inherent benefit as well—if one quarterback gets hurt or is unable to play in a game, the shock of having another quarterback under center is avoided. But despite the pros of having a two-quarterback system, there are also cons.
Given that you'll need at least four running backs and wide receivers in your lineup every week (and up to five total), those positions are already essential to your roster.
Ideally, you want at least two total RBs from the top-three tiers, and then at least two more by the end of Tier 5. Or you can keep it simple and just remember that you want a total of five RBs from the player pools within Tiers 1-5.

2 back (Sniffer/H back/TE/fullback) is outside the backside guard, he will lead block for the back, and the guard will kick out. If the No. 2 back is inside or in line with the guard, then he will kick out, and the guard will lead block. It's a simple adjustment that allows planning in multiple formation adjustments.
Can you have 2 tight ends?
By the place that they actually line up, you can have 0, 1, or 2 tight ends. You need to have 7 players on the line of the scrimmage. The two outermost players on the line of scrimmage are eligible receivers. If they line up next to the tackle (“tight”) then they are considered a tight end.
A back three is often the shape from which teams build from the back, generally with all three players holding their positions in the central lane and the inside channels. The back three acts as support and protection inside the two wing-backs and underneath the midfield line.

Why is a running back called a halfback?
It all goes back to the beginning of the game. Way back when, the Quarterback would be a quarter of a yard away from the line of scrimmage, the halfback would be half a yard away, and the fullback a full yard away. Hence the name, Fullback.
A sniffer tight end is a player who usually plays off the line of scrimmage, is put in motion before the snap a lot by the offense, and is used partially like an old school fullback who blocks for the run play. This position is also sometimes referred to as an H-back.

If there are two running backs and one tight end, the grouping is referred to as 21 personnel. The number of wide receivers on the field is inferred, based on the fact that eleven offensive players are allowed on the field, including five linemen and the quarterback.

The key is to never punt. Never punting takes away the risk because it allows the averages to work in your favor. It also opens you up to different play calling opportunities, primarily on third down. The two go together and are dependent on each other in order to make this work.

Every back needs this tool and if they don't have it, the offensive line will eventually begin to lose patience with the RB. After the back comes out of his stance at the snap, he must have the ability to burst through holes and run alleys.
The quarterback is not only the team's biggest decision maker, but his ability to make timely plays and efficiently manage the game routinely determines which team lands in the winner's circle at the end of the season.
