How long do under 10s play?
A player of the defending team kicks the ball from anywhere within the goal area or 4 yards from the goal line. Under 9 and 10 25 minutes each way. The half time rule shall not exceed 5 minutes.

Game Playing Rules
Playing time is one-hour with two halves and a 5-minute halftime. Each team has 11 players on the field. Touchdowns are worth one point and there are no extra points or safeties. Quarters are 10 minutes, with a maximum of 10 minutes at halftime.
For under 11 and under 12, 30 minutes each half; for under 13, 14, 35 minutes each half and under15 and under 16, 40 minutes each half; under 17 and under 18, 45 minutes each half.
What size goals Do U10 use?
Under-9s and under-10s should be playing 7-a-side matches with mini soccer goals measuring 12 feet by 6 feet. However, under-9s should be playing with a size 3 ball, and under-10s should be using a size 4 ball.
Offsides will be called in U-10 soccer. A player is in an offside position when they are nearer to the opponents goal line than the ball, unless (a) they are in their own half of the field, or (b) they are not nearer to the opponents goal line than at least 2 of the opponent players, where one can be the goalkeeper.

The dimensions and markings used for under 7 and 8 matches are also often used for senior 5 a-side matches. Players in under 9 and 10 leagues should play matches with 7 players on each team on the pitch at one time. The pitch should measure 60 yards (54.87m) x 40 yards (36.57m).
Kids Below 9 (Under 9s)
The suggested number of the training sessions is also once a week in this age group too, but you can increase the period of the training session. Make it around 60 minutes per session.
“U” really stands for Under and the number is the age. Therefore, a U10 Group is for players under 10 years old. Age Groups are grouped into 2-year increments, so you end up with either even (U6/U8/U10) or Odd (U5/U7/U9) age groups.

Free kicks, in 10U and older games, may be either direct (may score directly), or indirect (must be touched or played by another player before a goal can be scored).
Can you head the ball in U10?

Law 8 - The Start of Play
Two halves will start with a kick-off from the center circle. The kickoff is taken at the center spot. The game will be re-started from the center circle after every score. The ball does NOT have to move forward at kick-off to start the ball in play.
