MLB is calling these “disengagements.” If a pitcher steps off a third time, a balk is assessed unless he gets an out (such as on a pickoff) or runners advance on the play. Batters, meanwhile, will be limited to one timeout per plate appearance. Pitch clock issues cannot be reviewed on replay.

Baserunners Timeouts
Baserunners are also able to call for a timeout. Most commonly, they will call for a timeout after diving or sliding into a base. These timeouts are called so that the baserunner can stand back up and dust themselves off without fear of being tagged out.

If the batter unintentionally throws his bat and it interferes with the fielders, interference is called and the batter is out. If the batter throws his bat intentionally, the batter will be ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct.
If the batter interferes with the catcher's throw to retire a runner by stepping out of the batter's box, the plate umpire shall call “Interference.” The batter is out and the ball is dead (provided the catcher's initial throw does not retire the runner; see following paragraph).

They last a long time (NOT 5 MINUTES THOUGH) because the timeout officially begins when 1: the last player from each team has exited the court space (the lines around the court) and 2: the coach(es) have returned to the huddle to coach their players.
Time-out usually lasts between 2 and 5 minutes for toddlers and preschoolers. A good rule is to give 1 minute of time-out for every year of the child's age. This means that a 2-year-old would sit in time-out for 2 minutes, and a 3-year-old would have a 3-minute time-out.
In situations where a coach calls for a timeout without any timeouts left, an excess timeout penalty will not be assessed. Instead, the offending coach will be assessed a five-yard penalty for a timeout after exhausting its three timeouts during a half. No timeout will be granted and play will resume as normal.
Is standing in the corner a good punishment? No. Standing in the corner as a form of punishment is not healthy for the child. History tells us that it's cruel and science tells us that it creates issues for the child later in life that greatly outweighs the perceived benefits.
If there are less than 2 outs, the runner who missed the base is called out; but the batter/runner's run is counted, as is his homerun and rbi. If there were 2 outs, the runner who missed the base is called out, for out number 3, inning over. Homerun does not count, batter is credited with a single, double or triple.
What happens if the batter hits the catcher with his backswing?
If a batter strikes at a ball and misses and in the umpire's judgment unintentionally hits the catcher or the ball in back of the batter on the follow-through or backswing while the batter is still in the batter's box, it shall be called a strike only (no interference).

When a ball is hit in the air (i.e., a fly ball) and caught by the defending team, runners must return and touch the base they occupy—called tagging up—after the ball is first touched by a fielder.
You can steal a base via a walk beyond your next awarded base. For example, if you are on second base and there is nobody on first or third, you can steal third base on a walk. However, if you are on first base and the hitter walks, you automatically are awarded second base even if you take off running.
On an intentional walk, every runner gets to move up a base. 3. The hitter can decline the intentional walk, as if it were, oh, a holding penalty.
- Fielders without the ball often stand on a base or in the base path. Doing so does not make them guilty of obstruction. They're not obstructing unless a runner's advance or path is altered.
It doesn't matter how the pitch reaches the batter. The batter may hit any pitch that is thrown. Note that a pitch that bounces before reaching the plate may never be called a strike or a legally-caught third strike.
Alternatively, it is possible for a pitcher to enter a situation where there are two runners on base and no outs. He could throw one pitch that results in a triple play, and for that one pitch he would be credited with a full inning pitched.
