Is Kratos older in Ragnarok?
Not much time has passed between God of War II and III, which means that Kratos is still 50 years old in this title.
In God of War Ragnarök, it's likely that Kratos is around 1,055 years old. He's something of an old man, but as a demigod, he is still more than young enough to hold his own and then some in battle.
God of War's Kratos Is Over 1000 Years Old
Based on those two dates, and assuming that Kratos is in his 30's at the time of God Of War I, then it can be estimated that Kratos age is ~1050 years old by the start of God of War (2018).
The main protagonists are Kratos (played by Christopher Judge) and his teenage son Atreus (Sunny Suljic). Kratos is the former Greek God of War while his son Atreus is half Giant, one-quarter god, and one-quarter mortal and is also referred to by his Giant name, Loki.
It is documented that Greek gods grow stronger with age, and audiences have seen that with the sheer power and invulnerability of Old Kratos. As such, Old Kratos would win based on age.
So, while Kratos has been getting progressively weaker with each new entry, this is only part of the series' plot progression. It might be about time for Kratos to retire, something that the ending of Ragnarok unequivocally confirms.
He later avenges the deaths of his family and becomes the new "God of War" after killing Ares. Kratos is eventually revealed to be a demigod and the son of Zeus, who later betrays him.
Hercules is the older half-brother of Kratos, and shares many similarities with him. Both warriors mercilessly killed their wife and children under the influence of gods (Hera for Hercules; Ares for Kratos), having been forced to serve Olympus for a number of years in order to hopefully gain redemption.
Just like Ares, Kratos as the God of War can change his size into a nearly 500-foot tall giant. However, Kratos seems to only possess this ability as a God, as he never shows this again past the original trilogy.
How Tall Is Kratos in God of War: Ragnarok? Believe it or not, we actually know exactly how tall Kratos is thanks to this oddly detailed technical breakdown video from Santa Monic Studio's Axel Grossman. Kratos is exactly six feet and four inches tall (or about 1.93 meters, if that helps) in God of War: Ragnarok.
How tall is Kratos now?
Officially, Kratos is currently six foot and four inches. This is his redesigned height for the 2018 God of War and now its sequel, Ragnarök.
According to Destructoid, fans have stated that Tyr's temple was “asleep” for 150 years after the events of the franchise's original trilogy. When adding his initial age of 30 with 150 years, including the extra 14 years of Atreus, Kratos could be around 200 years old.

Fenrir tears open a portal and Angrboda and the giant wolf are pursued by Valkyries. She is also seen again during the final moments of Ragnarök, as Freyr holds back Ragnarök's sword, Fenrir opens a portal, allowing the rest of Kratos and Atreus' army to escape.
Atreus says goodbye, and Kratos sees on a shrine revealed to him by Agrboda that the Giants long ago prophesized him as the hero of Ragnarok. Santa Monica Studio, God of War's developer, has said Ragnarok is the end, and that God of War won't be spun into another trilogy.
Surtur is the overarching antagonist of the 2017 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Thor: Ragnarok.
4/15 Saitama Can Literally Beat Kratos With A Single Punch
Saitama does not get excited about battle anymore, and that is because he has become the strongest known being in the universe. Like Kratos, Saitama possesses inhuman strength and endurance, but unlike the God of War, he has unparalleled speed and reflexes.
The fight with Theseus is considered as one of the toughest fights in the series, due to his fast moves and consistent attacks. What's more, Theseus can call on Minotaurs to help him defeat Kratos.

Kratos is afraid of being found by others who might know of his deeds. He's afraid of how his legacy will come to affect Atreus, his son, and he's afraid that if the boy knows his history, he'll despise him.
God of War's photo mode is especially fun because of the contrast. Kratos is defined almost entirely by rage; sure, he's softened up in the reboot, but he's still an angry dude who never smiles.
Why is Kratos so weak in Ragnarok?
The harsh winter and the lack of real motivation for combat might be some of the reasons why this new Kratos feels a bit less powerful than the one from the Greek days — even if he's still more than capable of beating the daylights out of a god or two.
Prior to the release of God of War: Ragnarök, many fans found themselves thrilled at the idea of using Mjölnir after defeating Thor. While it is true that the hammer would have been an incredible asset for the player, it cannot be wielded or even picked up by Kratos (nor Atreus) for several reasons.
Kratos is technically mortal, despite being a demigod; it can be assumed that a demigod represents the strongest kind of mortal, as many different examples are given of demigods performing superhuman tasks (e.g. Hercules, Theseus, etc.)
Disregarding some of these plotholes, Kratos is not immortal. None of the Gods are truly immortal, perhaps it is his human side that saves him by landing in Hades. Kratos was even turned mortal at the same time he was ran through by Zeus' sword. He has the large scar in his belly to prove it.
Thanatos is described as an ancient and fearsome God, who predates the cycle of life and death, and is the reaper of all souls. He imprisoned Deimos, who is believed to be the Marked Warrior by Zeus, Ares, and Athena.
Aphrodite. Aphrodite, the most beautiful among mortals and immortals, was born from the foam of the sea when Uranus' blood fell on it after his defeat by Cronus. This fact makes her the eldest among the Olympian Gods.
Hestia was the first born child of the Titans Cronus (Kronos) and Rhea, making her the oldest Greek God.
How old is Atreus in God of War Ragnarok? Atreus, also known as Loki, is one of the stars of Ragnarok, alongside his father Kratos. After the events of the previous God of War, the character is a little bit older in Santa Monica Studio's critically acclaimed sequel — but exactly how old is Atreus?
Thanatos is described as an ancient and fearsome God, who predates the cycle of life and death, and is the reaper of all souls. He imprisoned Deimos, who is believed to be the Marked Warrior by Zeus, Ares, and Athena.
Deimos (Greek: Δείμος) was the younger brother of Kratos. He was abducted by Ares during his childhood to avert a prophecy about the destruction of Mount Olympus. He was then tortured by Thanatos, God of Death for years in the Domain of Death.
