What mics do the NBA use?
According to the NBA, all broadcasters are allowed to mic NBA Players but are only allowed to use the QT-5100 PlayerMic® from Q5X. These transmitters have been specifically designed for NBA players to wear in their jerseys during games.
They wear a small mic clipped to their jersey. This mic is connected to a small transmitter that sends the audio signal to a receiver. This transmitter is usually clipped onto the back of their shorts, that is then covered by their jersey.
