Amazon Prime will begin offering UFC pay-per-view events (2024)

Amazon Prime Video is bringing UFC pay-per-view events to customers in the U.S.starting on March 3 with “UFC 222: Cyborg vs. Kunitskaya.”

The UFC pay-per-view events will be available from Prime Video on an event-by-event basis, with no Prime membership required. Amazon has set the price at $64.99.

The events will be available for pre-order and can be purchased up to four hours after the start of the live program. The service is giving customers rewind capability of up to an hour during the live event, and access to replay coverage after its conclusion for 24 hours.

By opening up UFC pay-per-view access to Amazon Prime members and non-members, Amazon could make it easier for fans who already have payment information on fileand Amazon apps to buy in for the events.

Amazon does something similar with its Amazon Channels video hub, which provides a unified platform where Prime subscribers can build on subscriptions for services including HBO Now and Showtime.

Earlier this year, Amazon Channels added CBS All Access to its lineup for $9.99 per month.

Although it’s called All Access commercial-free, live local CBS streams still include the same commercials as the over-the-air broadcast, and select on-demand shows will include promotional interruptions. CBS and Amazon said that the $5.99 limited commercial plan will be available in the future.
