BEST TIPS FOR PRODUCT CARE

Soccer jerseys are embellished with unique types of names, numbers and crests.
Given the specialty nature of our garments, special care is needed when laundering and handling.
Follow these tips to extend the life of your soccer jersey and other embellished apparel:

LAUNDERING TIPS

WASH INSIDE OUT
The inside of a washing machine can be a rough environment for clothes, especially for the delicate embellishments (names, numbers, crests) on jerseys. Turning jerseys inside out will prevent the jersey embellishments from rubbing: against other clothes, the inside of the washing machine; and against itself in the wash cycle.

IMMEDIATELY REMOVE FROM WASHING MACHINE
Remove jerseys from the washing machine immediately after wash and turn it right side out to avoid the lettering from sticking together and to avoid creases and wrinkles. Leaving them to sit crumpled in the washing machine can permanently wrinkle names, numbers and other embellishments.

TREATING STUBBORN STAINS
Presoak the jersey in detergent and cold water prior to washing. Wash it as soon as possible after a stain occurs.

WASH IN COLD WATER
Washing in cold water protects jerseys in two ways: prevents colors from running/bleeding; and is gentler on embellishments (heat may cause embellishments to crack, melt and/or detach).

WASH SEPARATELY OR WITH LIKE-PRODUCT
Avoid unnecessary friction against your jerseys while they are being washed. Do not wash with jeans, towels or items with fastners (such as velcro, zippers, snaps, buckles, etc). If you absolutely need to add them to another wash, make sure none of these items are in the same wash. Do not overload washing machine. For any product with fasteners (such as trainins jackets or training pants), ensure all zippers, velcro and snaps are closed before laundering.

WASH WITH LIKE-COLORS
To avoid other colors from running on to your jerseys, always wash jerseys with similar colored garments.

AIR DRY
Never put jerseys or other embellished product in the dryer. Dryers are rough on your jerseys by causing unnecessary friction; fabric pilling; over heating and possible shrinkage. Hang to dry on wooden or plastic hangers (metal hangers may rust) or lay flat on a clean towel to dry. This will protect the delicate names, numbers and crests from drying out. Dry uniforms completely before storing away.

DO NOT USE BLEACH OR FABRIC SOFTENER
Fabric softeners can affect the wicking function of the jersey.

DO NOT DRY CLEAN

DO NOT IRON
Do not iron directly on embellishments. See handling tips for treating wrinkled names and numbers.

HANDLING TIPS

AVOID UNNECESSARY CONTACT WITH HARSH EDGES
Rough edges, such as velcro, zippers, buckles, can be a catch point for all types of sport knits, especially 100% polyester fabrics. Avoid contact with any products with harsh edges to prevent fabric from catching and becoming damaged.

TO TREAT WRINKLED LETTERING
Set the iron to the lowest heat setting. Do not apply direct heat to any embellishments. Place a clean towel, press cloth or piece of parchment paper over the area you’ll be ironing (or turn the jersey on the reverse side). Iron over the area, continuously moving the iron around. Let cool.

STORE IN A COOL DRY PLACE
