Why is forScore only turning half a page? ›

Half page turns can be toggled using the Display Options overlay. To access it, double tap the center of the page or tap the gear icon in the title bar: Next, tap the button shown below to turn this mode on and off. When the button's background is light (on), half-page turns are enabled.

Swipe left or right across the screen like flipping through pages in a book, or simply tap either side of the screen once. You can also adjust the page transition type in the app's settings panel under the Tools menu, and choose between curl, slide, stack, or no transition at all.

A blue horizontal divider shows you where the page is split so you don't get lost, and you can reposition this divider vertically by dragging the three horizontal lines up or down.

Display modes let you control how your music is presented: standard mode uses a common 3:4 aspect ratio to ensure the page looks the same on every device, best fit mode gives you a better view but may clip some annotations, and zoomed mode makes the page as big as possible but may clip the left and right edges of your ...

forScore Pro is an optional, annual subscription that gives you access to personalized support whenever possible, perks like extra stamps and app icons, and exclusive or early access to the latest and most advanced features like pop-up menus and face gesture page turning.

Once the metronome counts up to the number you've specified, the page will turn automatically. If you're viewing your score in landscape mode, forScore will also scroll down when it reaches half of that number. (For example, if you have 64 beats on a page, it'll scroll to the bottom of the page at 32 beats.)

Place the book on its spine, either in your hand, on a flat surface or other area so that the cover is facing downwards and the open pages upwards. This makes it much easier to turn pages because of gravity and hold your position in the book.

It removes page turns while making notation larger and easier to read. With forScore mini, Reflow is an essential tool that lets you read sheet music on even the smallest screens. Although it's not as important on an iPad, Reflow is also offered in forScore as an accessibility option.

Score layers are linked annotation layers that are available on every page of a score. Each page has its own unique annotations, but if you delete, hide, show, or rearrange score layers on one page those changes will take effect on all other pages as well.

You can view virtually any PDF file with forScore, and use a wide range of free applications for every major platform to convert other files to the PDF format.

Performance mode can be activated using the Display Options overlay. Double tap the center of the page or tap the gear icon in the title bar: Tap the button highlighted below to begin using performance mode. To exit performance mode, tap the blue × button in the upper right corner of the screen.

That's why we added a “Sepia” option to the settings panel way back in forScore 3.2. Flip this switch and your page, menus, and everything else in forScore will have a warmer tone instead of the stark white that it normally uses. It's a quick and easy solution that lets you perform in comfort.

Face Gestures:

If your device supports face tracking, you can use facial gestures to turn pages—either by turning your head or by moving your lips to the left or right. Choose whichever mode works best for you, and adjust their sensitivity in the forScore Pro section of forScore's settings panel, if needed.

Open the Activities overview and start typing Mouse & Touchpad. Click on Mouse & Touchpad to open the panel. In the Touchpad section, make sure the Touchpad switch is set to on. Switch the Two-finger Scrolling switch to on.

To use auto-scrolling, click the scroll wheel by pushing in on the wheel on a blank or empty portion of the screen. Once clicked, one of the three scrolling cursor icons (shown to the right) are shown, depending on the program you're using.

How do you use Autoscroll? ›

With Simple Autoscroll, you simply set how many pixels to scroll at set intervals, press "Go", and start reading! To stop the scrolling, simply click on the extension icon and the scrolling will cease. Simple as that!

Split View allows you to open two separate Safari web pages simultaneously on your iPad, which can have many benefits! The method for how to go back to full screen on iPad from the Safari split screen is the same as before—simply tap and drag the black divider bar to one side of the screen or the other.

You can customize forScore's settings as needed to tailor the app to your particular needs. From the main view, tap the center of the screen to show the navigation bar if not already visible, tap the toolbox icon in the top right-hand corner, then choose “Settings” from the list.

forScore is designed around the PDF file format and generally works best when each file in your library contains all pages of a single piece of sheet music. If you have separate PDF files or images for each page of a score, you'll need to combine those into one multi-page PDF file first.

The version number should be displayed there, just below forScore's icon. Lower down in the support menu, you may be notified if forScore detects that an update is available. If so, tap the update item to visit the App Store app and install the update.

Whichever your video app supports, you can view it full screen by tapping the icon that looks like two arrows pointing in opposite directions. If you're viewing the video picture-in-picture, tap the right-corner icon showing two squares with one that has an arrow in it.
