Depending on the severity, a veteran’s diagnosis of PTSD is eligible for VA disability rating of 100% ($3,737.85/month), 70% ($1,716.28/month), 50% ($1,075.16/month), 30% ($524.31/month), 10% ($171.23/month), or 0% (no payment). The ratings are listed in the Code of Federal Regulations under the General Rating Formula for Mental Disorders. The amount increases depending on your number of dependents. Individual unemployability (IU) for PTSD pays the same as a 100% rating.
