Along with Liam, names ranking among the US Top 10 baby boy names 2022 are Noah, Oliver, Elijah, James, William, Benjamin, Lucas, Henry, and Theodore. Other popular boy names include Jack and Jackson, Alexander and Mateo.
The Social Security Administration list of popular baby names is released in May each year, based on statistics from the previous calendar year. The most recent list of Top 1000 names, published here, is therefore a count of names for babies born in the US in 2022.
Note that the SSA counts each spelling and variation as a separate name, so that some names with many popular variants rank much lower on the official list than you might think.
