Parking Meters
The purpose of parking meters is to create turnover and maximize the use of each parking space to accommodate short-term parking demand in the area. Parking meters are placed throughout the Central Business District and western sections of the city, including West End Avenue to 31st Avenue and the Vanderbilt Hospital area.
Meter Rates and Time Limits
Rates on parking meters are $2.25 per hour in the Central Business District and $1.75 per hour on all others.

Gulch East (Gleaves St, Overton St, 9th Ave S, Magazine St, Old Division St)

- After 6 p.m. you can extend up to 6 hours
Downtown, Sobro, Midtown, Edgehill, Hillsboro Village, and Music Row
- 2 hour parking maximum up to 5 p.m.

The vehicle must be moved after the maximum time limit is reached. For long term parking, utilize a local parking garage or surface lot. Enforcement hours and time limits are displayed on signage.
