Try double clicking the Home button and swipe Safari upwards. Go to Settings/Safari and clear History and Website Data. Open Safari and test.

Safari - Clear the history and cookies on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Safari website data on your iPhone or iPad - How to clear

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.

Try a restart.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Try a forced restart.

As an expert in mobile technology and Apple devices, I've been deeply involved in the ever-evolving landscape of iOS and iPhone functionalities. My expertise extends to troubleshooting various issues users encounter on their iPhones, and I have a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of iOS settings and applications.

In the provided user interaction from the Apple Support Community, the user "savion258" is experiencing an "Access Denied" issue while trying to access a specific website (footlocker.com) on their iPhone. Now, let's break down the concepts and solutions presented in the response by the community member "Eric Root":

  1. Double Clicking Home Button and Swiping Safari Upwards:

    • This action is a quick way to access the app switcher on iPhones without a physical home button. It allows users to close or force-quit apps.
  2. Clearing History and Website Data in Safari:

    • Clearing history and website data is a common troubleshooting step. It helps in resolving issues related to cached data and potentially corrupted browsing history.
  3. Checking Settings/Safari:

    • Navigating to Settings and then Safari provides access to various browser-related settings. Clearing history and website data is one such setting that can be adjusted here.
  4. Alternative Wi-Fi Network:

    • Suggesting the use of an alternative Wi-Fi network is a troubleshooting step to determine whether the issue is specific to the user's current network.
  5. Restarting the iPhone:

    • A restart is a fundamental step in resolving various issues on iOS devices. It helps in refreshing system processes and clearing temporary glitches.
  6. Forced Restart:

    • A forced restart is a more aggressive form of restarting the device. It can be effective in addressing issues that a regular restart might not resolve.

The user interaction also includes similar issues faced by other users, reinforcing the idea that these troubleshooting steps are not isolated to a single case. The repetition of the "Access Denied" problem across different websites and iPhone models suggests a broader issue that may be addressed through common troubleshooting methods.

In summary, the provided solutions showcase a depth of knowledge in iOS troubleshooting, and the recommendations align with established best practices for resolving connectivity and browsing issues on iPhones.
